Great doctor
He did surgery on my mother, if he didn’t she be in a wheel chair. Brain surgery on brother in law and niece, successful. Anyone who can do back and brain surgery is a great doctor. A man of few words, he knows what he is doing!

My husband & I were very disappointed with Dr. Helm. No compassionate whatsoever from Dr. Helm. Treated us like he didn't care about what we were telling him. We lost alot of hope today with UVA because of this doctor. Very disappointed.

Spent less than five minutes with me reviewing my pain and issue. No empathy, terrible bedside manner and had 0 solutions to my problems. Sent me back to pain management doctor who referred him to me. Waste of time and money seeing this doctor and their practice. Would highly recommend going somewhere else, not sure who hires these people but they need to re-evaluate their hiring process, because this man is just not nice.

This past August Dr. Helm preformed surgery to relieve pressure on nerves on my L4/L5 discs. He and his staff did a stupendous job and I left the hospital hours after the surgery. It is now December and I am fully recovered, and life is good. Would recommend Dr. Helm and his staff for surgery.

Very very poor doctor just interested in sergery wait for month doctor not take more than 5 minutes don't waste time with that doctor.

I have had the worse experience with dr Helm ever. His lack of compassion and way of examination were remarkably bad He did not spend more than a minute examining me, looked uncomfortable talking to me His assistant was no difference

I just had the pleasure of Dr. Helm doing a very difficult operation on my spine. ( ACDF). I had starting to get uncontrolable pain in my right arm and I lost the use of it . After finding I had a ruptured disk at my C6-C7 in an MRI. Dr Helm wasted no time in getting me lined up for surgery, just 12 days after my first visit with him. He did a great job. I can never thank him enough. I have already told people how good and how happy I'm with Dr. Helm. I will never be able to thank him enough.
