I am trying to recognize my orthopedic surgeon in patient feedback survey, that Manatee Physician Alliance Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine group sent me regarding the work of the doctor I have been seeing for the last two months. Unfortunately, the doctor who I was seeing last two months and who performed recently my surgery is not on the list of this office providers anymore!! This doctor is Gregory Farino! However, I would like to express my deep gratitude for his wonderful work over the last year and a half that I have been seeing him at this office. During this time, he has performed two surgeries on me that were very successful. The first CMC Arthroplasty surgery was successfully completed in January 2024 and I have had a full recovery just in 4 months, even though the recovery usually takes 6 to 12 months. In December 2024, Dr. Farino again performed successful CMC Arthroplasty surgery on my other hand. In 10 days he took off my cast and stitches and schedule to see him in three weeks for next care. When I came in three weeks, he told me that next week will be his last week in this office, and unfortunately his care for my recovery will be unfinished!! I am very upset and sad that he is no longer with Manatee Physician Alliance Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine group, and I will have to recover on my own without his participation and supervision. He tried to give me advice and guidance for the future and even offered to get in touch with him if necessary if any problems. He provided to me his personal cell phone and asked to contact him in three months so he could see my progress in recovery. I really appreciate his incredible care and think he is a very knowledgeable doctor. Dr. Farino is not only a skilled professional but also compassionate. I felt genuinely cared for during all my visits. He was always very attentive, always listened and provided clear explanations and took the time to address all my concerns. He has excellent bedside manners. Also, when I had my surgeries at Manatee memorial hospital, all nurses were saying very kind words about working with Dr. Farino. I will definitely miss him, and frustrated that it will be no hand surgeon in this group anymore.

Dr Farino is an expert at giving cortisone shots for the osteoarthritis in my thumbs. I have recently moved to another state and discovered this is no small feat. The doctor I used here needed to use an ultrasound machine to find where to insert the needle and the the pain was absolutely excruciating! And the shots have done little for my arthritis 10 days later. Not so with Dr. Farino. No need for ultrasound, pain was comparatively minimal and relief was felt within days. He is also very personable. I may have to fly back to Florida every time I need a shot!

I’ve been seeing Dr Farino for almost 2 years for my terrible basal thumb arthritis in both hands. He’s a wizard at giving shots! Very personable and friendly doctor who shows empathy toward others. He’s very knowledgeable on the different surgical options and which will work best for me as well. Good caring person! Highly recommend him.

Dr. Farino has been taking care of my basil joint arthritic hand for two years now. I can't say enough good things about this doctor. He is very personable and caring. HE TAKES HIS TIME! He answers all questions and his explanations are thorough. I feel very cared for at every visit. Better care than any doctor I've met in Florida in the last 5 years. When Dr. Farino enters the exam room he doesn't immediately sit and stare at the computer while asking a couple of questions. Nope! He enters, sits down, looks me in the eye and says, "what's going on?" (this is BEFORE he even looks at the computer) He's an authentic communicator. He listens and validates my concerns and explains the physiology and diagnosis. Thankfully I've found a doctor who discourages surgery until it's absolutely necessary. He is a wizard at giving cortisone shots. He's the best doctor I've had since moving to Florida over four years ago.

Dr. Farino was professional and explained the process and benefits of having surgery after I fell and fractured my wrist in multiply places. The surgery went well and he also explained the surgery and follow-up care in the follow up appointment. His attending nurse in the Sarasota office was caring and knowledgeable also. I was informed before hand of what my insurance would not cover. Some people may see that as a negative, but I would much rather know than be surprised after the fact.

Saw Dr Farino for trigger thumb, one injection and I'm good as new. Did not hurt except a pinch for a few seconds. Don't let people scare you saying injections hurt. Dr Farino is compassionate, speaks in terms you understand, and spends needed time to explain your condition and treatment options. Highly recommend.

I went to Dr. Farino for Carpal tunnel and he explained exactly what he would do and made me feel like I wasn't being pushed into surgery. I have suffered with this long enough and decided to go ahead with the surgery and even at the surgery center he again asked are you ready to do this and I said I can't wait to have full use of my hands let's get this done. It was in and out and I never even knew it was done and t was over with and time to go home. Excellent!
