Dr. Gregory Dearmond, MD

Dble hernia surgery at Resolute Feb 21 by DeArm. Hiatal repair prev by DeArm. and incisional hernia. Contracted incision staff infection March 16 went Texas Med Urgent Care. Culture Mar 20 positive for staff infection. TexMed contacted me asap, sent prescript asap, advised to call surgeon asap. I called Dr DeArm, emailed mgr Tex Med info to get culture, emailed pic of infected incision. I fyi'd my primary dr. who responded at 7 pm. same day and Appt next day. No call from De Arm. Next day I call DeArm office. pls treat w priority. Rec'd return call nonmed staff reaching out to Surgeon. No prescript till late in day 21st after I call 2 more x's. I got call at 2pm on 21st asking about unpaid bill! Get call from mgr on 22nd now backtracking. Discontinuing service DeArm, and Resolute due to delayed 3 day unsatisfactory response to staff inf. they aware underlying cancer. Many previous serious issues w Resolute. Pain care in hosp horrific after surgery. Priority concern money always.

Everything went as good as could be expected. He was very thorough and assured me I would feel better in no time; he was right

Dr. DeArmond is a great listener. He answered all our questions. He explained the procedure where we understood. He was so patient & caring. We really, really liked him and his staff as well.

Dr. Dearmond has the worst table side manor . Treats his techs and nurses very bad . He throws things when he is upset or talks down on you . Absolutely hated working with him , and wouldn’t want any of my family members to go see him as a patient . He is good at what he does , but is very rough with the patient in surgery .

Perfect from beginning to end

Was visiting from out of state after struggling through metastatic stage 3 breast cancer and my chemo port became dislodged…long story short was referred to this Surgeon DeArmond at South Texas Surgery Group. Upon arrival I was treated politely and professionally by both front and back office staff. I was informed the Doctor hadn’t even arrived to the office yet…waited 30 minutes and as soon as he walked in he was the nastiest human ever, I guess he decided to bring his bad day to me!! The utter disdain he directed at me was both shocking and humiliating. If DeArmond hates his job so much maybe he should try something else. Horrible horrible look for not only him, but for his office.

My appointment with Dr. DeArmond went well. He was kind, knowledgeable, and thorough. I appreciated his calm demeanor and how he addressed my concerns. I am glad I had an opportunity to meet with him. An added bonus was his staff was very nice.

Suzanna was absolutely amazing and my visit with Dr. Dearmond was a 10/10 I’d give him and his staff 100/10 if I could. The practice manager even came out to help with some questions. Will be returning and referring all of my friends and family. Thank you Dr Dearmond and staff !

Wonderful experience with Dr. Dearmond. He was a wonderful surgeon. He ensured I had a smooth prep, surgery, and follow-up. I am so glad I chose to go with him and would highly recommend his services to anyone. It’s rare to find a doctor that cares for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. Very impressed with my overall experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!

Dr.dearmond was great and informative

Very communicative, patient and thorough!

He was very pleasant and knowledgeable, as was his staff. They 'squeezed' me in as a semi-emergency at the request of my PCP and I couldn't be more pleased. I am unsure why there are negative reviews on him; I'm sorry others had negative experiences - that was not mine. I would definitely recommend him without hesitation.

He removed my gallbladder. I would not recommend him. He is not friendly, rushes you out, and shows no care at all for his patient.
