Dr. Barnes has been my Doctor over 20 years. He performed a successful gastric bypass in 2008 and just recently removed my gallbladder. He is very knowledgeable, and personable. His staff is awesome. I highly recommend him for any gastrointestinal issues.

I had a gastric bypass in 2015. Afterwards, I couldn’t keep anything down except popsicles and struggled with throwing up all the foods I was supposed to be able to eat for years afterwards. I finally had a revision with another surgeon and can now lead a normal life.

I am so happy that Dr. Barnes is my surgeon. After a bad experience with my sleeve surgeon, he has taken over and given nothing but the highest quality of care. After so many drs told me I didn’t need my gallbladder removed, he did a exam and I was in surgery the next morning. I completely trust his judgement on what is best for my health. He is an amazing surgeon and very down to earth! His staff is amazing as well! Everything about Barnes Bariatric is top notch!

Upon getting an emergency appt with Dr Barnes within 2 days, I was put in the hospital 2 days later-Dr. Barnes saved my life. I had been very ill in February from a stomach flu & my band had slipped & had twisted up my stomach-liquid diet for 10 wks, reflux & horrible sore throat & severe stomach pain & a GI dr that didn't give a hoot!! I'm so very thankful for Dr Barnes & his staff, not only did they have a huge battle to deal with pertaining to my ins co but they took great care of me!!

Thank God a friend made the decision to carry out drove me to the Baylor downtown ER. Later I was told it was 2 am, Dr Barnes was the 5th Dr they asked to operate on my, the other 4 refused, due to the risk. Dr Barnes opened me up, made a startling diagnoses, fixed the problem! 6 weeks later, I was back living life!! I can never say THANK YOU enough!!!

Went to see Dr. Barnes with very complicated problems from previous surgeries and he was amazing. I had been turned down by multiple doctors that would not fix me. Dr. Barnes jumped in and I am now on the right road to a good recovery. His staff is wonderful as well, if they tell you they will call you back with answer they do it. Nothing but high praise from this patient and her family. Thank you Dr. Barnes for going above and beyond to make sure you took care of all my problems.
