What do I look for in a doctor? Knowledge, professionalism, and being competent. Friendly and caring are a plus. Being able to make you feel like your health and well being are important. Dr. Barme is all of this. From the moment I met him, he made me feel like he cares. He takes the time to listen to my questions and never hurries me. His answers are sincere. He's been with me during some difficult times and has always given sound advice. I have the utmost confidence in him.

I saw the Dr. Brame one month ago. Scheduled a follow up visit for today, I drive 45 min to get to his office to find the door locked. I called they said he left at noon, and hung up on me. I called back and asked if they would let me so we could figure this out, they said no. I asked if I could get a copy of my records they said no, the doctor must review them first so I left.

Difficult if not impossible to reach anyone on the phone in the office. Office opens at 9:00am but no one answers the phone . I still could not get though at 10:00am. Automated voice service picks up and tells you to call the back office and no one picks up that line either. If you press 0 it routes you to the exchange where you leave a message and it took an hour & a half for someone to call back after 2 calls. This is ridiculous and extremely frustrating.

I never got past the front office staff who were rude, discourteous and condescending. I have no clue whether or not Dr. Barme is a good physician because I was never able to see him. I am posting this review because he needs to know the impact of the poor front office staff has on his practice. I am tiring of dealing with these "gatekeepers" who talk to patients like they are bothersome and annoying. It is becoming all too common and until physicians understand their impact, nothing changes
