3 Bad Experiences
I saw Dr. Gregg Vagner for three operations: a ganglion cyst removal and two cubital tunnel decompressions (left and right elbows). Unfortunately, none of these operations were successful. After the cubital tunnel surgeries, I developed subflexion (dislocated ulnar nerves) in both elbows, which will now require corrective surgeries. In my opinion, this complication might have been avoided with more thorough evaluation and care during the surgeries. I believe careful evaluation before, during, and after surgery is essential to reduce risks like this.Additionally, the ganglion cyst was not fully removed, and it eventually grew back larger than before.Post-operative care was another area where I felt let down. I expected clear guidance on recovery, minimizing scarring, and rebuilding strength. Instead, I received a single sheet of instructions with little detail. After three horrible experiences, I would not trust Dr. Vagner with anything else again

I had stabbing pain above and below the juncture of the thumb and wrist. Dr Vagner quickly diagnosed my condition and treated with a cortisone shot which has made a significant in my pain frequency and severity. He explained everything thoroughly, listened to my concerns and explained possible follow-up treatment if necessary.

REcently saw Dr. Vagner again, this time for my elbow tendinitis. Had to track him down as he changed offices, but it was well worth it. He is gracious, knowledgeable and easily communicates important information and diagnosis. He thanked me for tracking him down, and made it known he was easily accessible by phone if I had any more questions or concerns with the treatment he recommended.

Dr Vagner was recommended by my personal physician who is rated one of the Top Doctors in Austin. I needed immediate surgery on both hands and Dr Vagner's office accommodated my scheduling needs with a next day appointment. Within a week of first visiting Dr Vagner I had the surgery with only minor discomfort over a 24 hour period. Within 9 days, the stitches were out and I have seen improvement from the nerve damage. I am hopeful that within 6 to 9 months my full feeling will be restored.

Dr. Vagner has treated both me and my husband for various hand issues. After suffering with De Quervain tendonitis for over a year under the care of another hand specialist, I went to Dr. Vagner as a last resort (Should have gone there first.) He took less then 5 minutes to diagnose, and treat it with a shot. The pain has gone away and have been pain free for over 8 months. He has also treated arthritis in my hand. His treatment of my husbands trigger finger has also been successful.

I've been going to Dr. Vagner for about 8 years. He has performed 3 surgeries on my hands and in each case it fixed my problem. He always has time to talk to me about what my problem is and gives me the option to choose, if there is more than one solution, what I want to do. I have total trust in Dr. Vagner.

The billing staff is very rude! They overcharged me and I have to wait for my refund for over a month. When I asked why it takes over a month to post my refund back to my credit card they said well that's just our process. Dr. Vagner was ok. When I asked him what the cause of my problem was he just said well you are getting older. Not exactly happy with this office and staff.
