World Class Cosmetic Surgeon in SLC!
I went to Dr. Fairbanks and he offers a different approach from any surgeon I have worked with. A thorough evaluation and explanation of the considered procedure, to where he even drew the anatomy of my nose to help my better visualize the procedure. (Apparently he does this for many of patients since his background is in artistic sculpting). Apparently one of my nostrils did not have any airflow to the turbinates (think air filters inside your nose that also protect against bacteria and infection) so he diagnosed that by operating and opening up my nostril to my turbinate, shaving them down rather than removing them (which is what many ENT's recommend), that it would dramatically increase airflow. It did! I have never been able to breath so clearly in my life and he also re-enforced my nose to protect against collapse from where I had picked as a kid. It is the first time I have ever been able to SOLELY breath through my nose! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! WORLD CLASS IN SLC!

One of the best medical professionals I've encountered. He is a genuine artist and a consummate surgeon. He approaches reconstructive surgery with the eye of a sculptor, always working toward the best outcome for the patient. He made an ear for our son (who was born without one) using our son's own cartilage and skin. Excellent result.

Dr. Fairbanks performed 5 reconstructive ear surgeries on my son, who was born with a condition called microtia. He took the time to explain everything in a way my young son could understand. He also did a fabulous job sculpting my son's rib cartilage into the shape of an outer ear. His surgeries take hours, but that is because he doesn't rush through them. The results show in the realistic looking ears that stand the test of time. He also is ethical and caring. I highly recommend Dr. F.

I suffered a dog bite to the face and lost a piece of my lip. The first two plastic surgeons I saw wanted to operate right away. Dr. Fairbanks was the first to suggest that I wait a few months to let the wound heal in as much as possible. That way we wouldn't have to remove as much of the lip with an excision. That ended up being the correct decision. He passed up an opportunity to make more money off me. Highly recommended for facial reconstructive or any type of reconstructive surgery.
