In 1995 Dr. Engler did a complete spinal fusion from my shoulders to just above my coxis. I had scoliosis as a child which was a double curve and growing older, 4 children later, my curves were becoming much worse, especially my lower curve and was in constant pain everyday. Growing up in CT, my ortopedic surgeon (children's hospital) stated i needed surgery, however there wasn't a surgeon in CT who could do the surgery. He referred me to Dr. Engler. After meeting with Dr. Engler i absolutely felt he could perform the surgery. He gave me the names of two women who he had done the suregery similar to wha i was going to have done. They too put me at ease! i had two surgeries back to bacy (1 week apart) was in the hospital for 16 days. He had me standing the day after my 2nd surgery. Dr. Engler is the very best there is! I can't say enough about him as doctor and extremely caring person. I can't thank him enough for giving my life back to me!

Many years ago Dr. Engler did an L5-S1 spinal fusion on me that was incredibly successful. I am 80 years old and still ride my bike competitively 4 days per week and play 4-wall handball 3 days per week with no ill effects from the surgery. This man is the best! He also got me started on a lifelong love of Fly-fishing for Trout.
