Dr. Gopi Maharaja, MD

Dr. Maharaja has been my physician for three years. I have found her to be exceptionally skilled, very caring and through. She always follows up and makes you feel at ease.

She does not seem experienced. When questioned about medical advice said if I didn't like it I could get another doctor. Seems detached from patients. Did not do a thorough check.

Tried to get a refill of a prescription, was told I needed to make an appt for an office visit. Why, as I had a routine visit 8 mos prior. Tried to make appt, couldn't go to the office because I work in a COVID ICU. Had to do telehealth. Was supposed to get a call at 8am the next morning. No call received as I had my cellphone with me just waiting for this call. Then at 9:50am, got a call to reschedule as "there was no answer". Now how can they not get an answer as arranged but can get me to reschedule? I don't like dishonesty. So no call, no prescription refill. My WHOLE morning was wasted waiting for this call. Can't have another call until next day off from work which is 6 days away. So I go without my medication. That's great medical management. Should have kept my physician in Maine and fly there for yearly exams. Was always able to get a refill called on without needing an appt.

Dr. Gopi Maharaja is one of the finest physicians I have ever known. I only got to have her as my doctor for 2 years, but she left a very strong impression on me. I am in my 60's and in my lifetime I have seen numerous physicians. I would rate her as among the top 3 doctors I've ever seen. She is gifted, wise, intelligent, and thorough. You are in great care if you have her as your doctor. She may be the most knowledgeable doctors I've ever met. Most importantly however, her best qualities are her generosity of spirit, and her caring. Dr. Maharaja cares deeply about people. Any patient who has her as a doctor is in great care - you are lucky to have her, she is one of the very best.

Dr. M is amazing caring and a great Doctor. She actually cares about her patients and takes time for them. I had an issue and she called me after hours just to check on me! What doctor does that kind of thing!!! An amazing one like her that’s who!!! I can’t say enough good things! I would and have recommended her to anyone who wants a great doctor!

Absolutely worst doctor I’ve ever seen. I felt like I was talking to a butterfly. Unable to address my issues, said she was prescribing a medication that was never sent, did not get reports on lab work and tests. She actually said “I don’t have time for you.” after I had waited 1 1/2 hrs after my appointment time in a cold empty office.

The very best Doctor I have ever dealt with. I am so disappointed she has left The Villages Florida practice. When I went with my guy for his appointed, I was so impressed with her knowledge, concern, and her interest in his medical condition, I decided to switch my Doctor to Dr. K. Unfortunately she has moved to far for me to travel for her service. I am so disappointed but if you are looking for the perfect Dr. grab her fast. She is the BEST. Good luck Dr. K. I will sure miss you.

Dr. Maharaja is one of the best doctors I've had in the past half century. She is very attentive to details, follow-up, and continued care. She takes a personal investment into her patients and genuinely cares about them as a person. Premiere Medical is sometimes an unorganized and understaffed medical business (so you have to put up with being frustrated with the office problems), but don't use that frustration to discount how amazing Dr. Maharaja can be as a personal physician!!!

I go to doctor Kand she is a skilled doctor not just somebody who writes me a pill that doesn't work and sends me away. She listens to you and is very good and makes your visit pleasant. She is concerned about you . GOD bless you, Dr K
