Dr. Gloria Lopez Cardenas, MD

I took my wife to Dr. Lopez for a nuerology consult. Dr Lopez was pleasant and somewhat professional but she made statements that were clearly out of her expertise. My wife was also receiving care for cancer which directly affected some function in a leg. Dr. Lopez (who is not an oncologist) made upsetting statements about my wife's cancer which clearly overstepped her position as a neurologist. She had little to no background of my wife's treatments for her cancer and made comments that made her future look bleak. Dr. Lopez needs to review her training on bedside manner, show compassion, and leave her opinion out of her diagnosis, unless it falls under her training as a neurologist.

Had a weird day where waking up I felt numbness in my leg, tired and couldn’t talk. Later in the day I felt perfect. I was referred to Dr Cardenas-Lopez and she examined me and discussed what she thought were problems. She made herself very clear so I could understand what I went through and referred me to heart specialist. Her knowledge was a comfort in making whatever happened not so scary.
