Openly admitted he did not review my chart before my new patient visit. He did not do any physical exam at all. Very dismissive and was clearly annoyed that ochsner moved my scheduled my appointment to an earlier date because they had a cancelation. I've been seen by 4 doctors all of them said I needed an EP specialist. I have liver disease episodes of tachycardia and bradycardia and extremely low blood pressure. He prescribed a medication that has various contraindications for ALL these conditions. Told me the medicine was extremely expensive and that my insurance would not cover it. He said after I paid for the first month of medication and if it worked he would possibly contact the drug manufacturers but he wasn't "doing all that" if I couldn't tolerate the medicine. At the end of the visit he told me there was nothing wrong with me, yet he gave me medication for heart failure. I would strongly recommend using someone else if you want a doctor who actually reviews your medical history before giving medicine that could cause further cardiac issues. He referred me to a different EP specialist outside of the ochsner network work.

Don’t ever request anything from office staff because you may as well be talking to the wall and generally will NOT get what was needed!

Office Visit
My cardiologist retired and I made an appointment with Dr Polin who was in the same group.I was greeted with I am an Electrophysiologist not a basic cardiologist. I have had a longtime arrhythmia and was on medication that controlled it 100%. He did an EKG, told me one of my meds had damaged my heart and to stop taking it…..not replacing it with anything. He was not friendly and had a curt manner. Within a few days my arrhythmia came back full blown and was admitted. I have since found a new cardiologist and electrophysiologist. I would not recommend him despite his impressive bio……

If my husband had not been fortunate enough to come under Dr. Polin's care I believe he would have died. He has been great and I highly recommend him. In my opinion, he is all one can ask for in a doctor.

This is so great to hear. Thank you!

Dr Polin, an attentive listener, is the most personable doctor I’ve encountered in my 78 years. He is engaging, compassionate and humble...rare traits when seeing a doctor. I feel like I have an equal voice in deciding the time of any medical procedure. He respects my self knowledge. Right before surgery, I said, “My life is in your hands.” He paused at the door, turned to look me in the eye and replied, “And I take that very seriously.” I went into surgery feeling calm and safe. Recovery was smooth and quick. Dr Polin is as consistently present and engaging after surgery as before. I had a different doctor twice before this procedure; Dr Polin completed what my previous Doctor doctor failed to accomplish.

Dr. Glenn Polin has been my cardiologist for several years now, since he and his family first arrived in New Orleans. I'm totally satisfied with the care that I've received. I especially appreciate Dr. Polin's attention and the detailed explanations he provides for my conditions, procedures, recommended medications and treatment. He's prompt, and I never feel rushed during our visits, and the depth and breadth of his knowledge when I ask him any question, is a source of comfort and confidence in his ability. His staff is quick to respond to any routine messages I send through the portal and they are also very pleasant when checking me in. I feel truly blessed to be in the care of such a knowledgeable, capable and genuinely concerned doctor.

Dr. Polin is a quality cardiologist who stays up to date on leading edge technologies. He is open minded and willing and able to find the best individualized solutions for his patients. Dr. Polin earns the respect of his patients while showing them respect in return. I had to give up my Cleveland Clinic trained cardiologist when I moved to New Orleans and thought I would not find a high caliber cardiologist in the Big Easy. I was wrong. For six years Dr. Polin has continued to impress me.
