Needs to retire or be fired don't recommend.
This guy needs fire he is a doctor with anger issues and a god complex that is so out of date with the world. Treated me like I'm trash and a criminal and like I was stupid. Don't go to this garbage fire of an excuse for a person he should be aloud to work with anyone and should be fired for mistreatment and hatefully comments to people seeking help. It's sad they put me with this guy cause northwestern used me as a test subject for ADHD meds from a VERY young age and it's sick to say the least. Atrocious.

He seemed genuine... at first.
I stuck with him for half a year and regret doing so. I never felt like my concerns were listen to no matter how many times I told him the medication her prescribed wasn't working. We took things slow (terribly slow) as we walked up my medication dosage wasting 6 months with no relief. Even when I would tell him what my symptoms were it was as if he knew better and felt I was lying. He lets him opinions get the better of him and put his preferences over my own. Suffering from different mental health issues is difficult as it is and Dr. McClaugherty actually made it worse. I would have slight panic attacks even while talking to him while he sat back and continued to put his views and ignore my own problems. I sought treatment on my own yet I was made to feel like, if I didn't agree with his course of action, then I was the problem. He seems genuine at first so beware.

I've been a patient of Dr. Mcclaugherty's for over a year now. I was skeptical, and kind of irritated, the first visit with him. But he knew what he was doing that first visit. He immediately felt that the antidepressants were not working for me because my bipolar type II was misdiagnosed. The first medication he ever prescribed immediately worked, and continued to work for the next year. He's helped me with my ups and downs. Definitely more helpful then my previous doctor and better than inpat

Wasted 3 days off work dealing with him and his staff. Completely does not listen to you or your issues, and is horribly closed minded. You spend 2 days telling his staff your life and experiences only for him to"quiz' you on it on the 3rd day. No matter what you say, this man's mind is already made up before you walked in. Staff has no issues with being over a hour wait before seeing you, and then they don't even have common courtesy to apologize. Just do you self a favor and STAY AWAY,

Poorest excuse for a medical professional I have ever encountered. Confrontational, be-belittling. Cannot or will not justify or explain his "style".
