I was referred to Dr. Rodriguez by my PCP in 2015 when we moved to Birmingham. I have had thyroid issues since 1996. She was very professional and caring about my multi-nodular enlarged thyroid. She asked if I had ever had a biopsy done, and I had not. She scheduled me for an ultrasound and biopsy. Upon receiving the results, we met and went over the results. Nodules were benign, but she asked if I had considered having a partial or total thyroidectomy due to the size. We discussed the pros and cons, and I decided to have her monitor the condition. During my recent annual physical bloodwork, the thyroid showed it had become hyperactive. I contacted her, and she set up an appointment. She put me on medication to reduce the hyper activity, scheduled me for another biopsy, and ultrasound. Results came back benign, but the thyroid had enlarged significantly. She recommended a thyroidectomy, and I agreed. My wife & I both hate she is going back to New York. Highly recommend.

I have trusted her with my thyroid issues and weight issues. She has placed me on an antiinflammatory diet and she has spent time discussing how to take my thyroid pills, something other doctors have not even considered. She was also very patient with me. I am doing soooo much better.

Young physician who is very up to date with new therapies and insulin pumps. She is respectful, caring, and explains her management decisions based on the most up to date official guidelines. I strongly recommend this doctor to any patient in Alabama who suffers from an endocrine related disease.
