Dr. Abera tends to only listen to himself. I have severe migraines and I was under a neurologist for over 25 years. Have tried several medication. Migraines cause my blood pressure to go up. hmmm Long story short he gave me the preventative medication prescribed before and added one more for the blood pressure. I normally have chronic migraines. This other medication he provided and the increased dose of the other medication. The other medication was making my blood pressure low. Extremely low my body was fighting to stay awake. Blood pressure was 60/40 with a heart rate of 60. I told him I was not going to risk my life and he was upset. Would not refill my medication unless I saw him in person, which the last time I had seen him in person he acted very unprofessional. I asked for a number to place a complaint against him and front staff refused to give me the information. I pray he is actually retired. I have not given up yet I will find a way to make sure this follows him.

I just moved to Odessa, and had a visit with Dr. Aberra regarding persistent back pain, and an annual physical. I found him very interested in me as a person, and willing to discuss overall health issues. He was not in a rush, and requested new back x-rays for his own assessment. Good doctor, friendly bedside manner and thorough.

I saw the Doctor 01/27/2016. The Doctor's accent was so heavy I could not understand half of his questions and noticed he did not understand my answers nor what my problems was . I thought the patient was important ... but found that is not the case. Staff working with the Doctor told me my wanting a Doctor I could understand was a matter of preference nothing to do with treatment .
