I found her to be arrogant and dismissive. She spent the entire appointment typing on her computer. She diagnosed the patch of dry skin on my face as eczema without even getting very close to take a good look. When the cream she prescribed did not work, I went to a new doctor who said I don't have eczema its actinic keratosis! So besides having the worst bedside manner, she's not very good at a simple diagnosis either.

Worst dermatologist
How can one do a yearly skin exam without even looking at your skin? Well this dermatologist can. By far the worst dermatologist I have ever been to for a yearly skin check. For a practicing physician, she seems very uneducated on her own topics. Answers to questions very broad and brought me no value. I am embarrassed I wasted my time.

A not happy patient – May 12, 2022

She is a very good clinician and very personable. I trust her judgment call on treating suspicious changes on my skin. She recommended surgery for basal cells carcinoma on my face and it saved me from facing a potentially more serious condition and also living with a disfiguring scar. The staff has also been very kind and the rooms are always very clean.

Way to go Dr. Janss! After you lectured my 83 yr. old widowed mother, while she was alone in your care, on why not to call you "darling," she shook the whole way home. I hope this makes you feel very good about yourself and important. I think it takes quite an insecure person to stoop that low!!! I have seen you before, only once, and was not impressed. Your bedside manner is HORRIBLE!! Everyone reading this, PLEASE go see another doctor. Many others to choose from. Get over yourself, Dr. Janss!

This is the most unprofessional doctor I have ever heard of. I was dealing with a skin issue, and she flat out laughed at me, and told me "oh poor baby". and to "suck it up". This is not how you treat a patient, regardless of what they are going through. She mocked me when I told her I think this is a serious matter, because of what other doctors have told me. Her diagnosis was less than 4 minutes, and inaccurate. She needs to learn what beside manner is because she has absolutely NONE.

Very disappointing experience. I took my daughter to see Dr Janss for acne. She barely looked at my daughter and spent most of our time talking about herself and her kids. Basically a waste of time except for getting prescriptions.

I have been going to Dr. Janss for 16 years and have referred her many times. I followed her from her practice in Wilmette. She is very knowledgeable, experienced and friendly! I see her for cosmetic concerns (from which she does artful work with natural - not over-done results) as well other skin issues and for my annual skin check up. She is highly recommended!

She simply wasn't thorough. One of the items I complained about was bumps on my arm that itched. I told her I thought they may be warts. She said, "warts don't itch" and then without even looking at my arm, told me to put lotion on it and that was it. What was even more troubling was that I noticed her finger nails were filthy. Not what you want to see from a physician. I won't be going back.

She didn't connect with me and didn't try. She only gave me 4 minutes and rushed out. I waited 2 months to see her. I have been in pain and needed to understand what was going on with my skin. She was on her computer putting notes in after 30 seconds of getting in the room. She was more concerned about the paper work associated with my appointment than me. Instead of taking time to explain what my skin condition was. I got a google print out to read about it on my own. I left crying.
