Dr. Germaine Hawkins, DO

My NP who works 3 days a week with no email address or patient portal to communicate with was a total waste of time and dissapointing.

Front desk worker Jackie is rude with a lack of customer service skills. She was argumentative over the phone and has no compassion for patients who need a moment to get payment ready for over the phone payments. She did not asked to put me on hold. She told me and did not wait for a response and just did it. All because it took me .2 seconds longer than she wanted to wait to pull out my wallet and get my credit card. Next time hire an adult with patience and communication skills and not a toddler.

Getting a refill is difficult. Walgreens faxed for two weeks! Office staff is unreliable. Very frustrating experience

My son has been doing teletherapy for several months & they suggested a brain scan to better help with his medications & diagnosis. After the scan I was told Dr. Hawkins would call me to go over them with me... That was 3 months & at least 5 messages ago & every time I am told only Dr. Hawkins can review the scans with me & that they will send him another message that I called. Wish I had never chosen this office.

I absolutely love Dr. Hawkins' practice. The quality care, thorough follow-up and amazing staff has allowed me to see tremendous changes in my life. I HIGHLY recommend this practice for mental health treatment. My treatment plan has been vital to my wellness during COVID.

I am beginning to believe all the bad reviews about Dr Hawkins' people. I called at 5 minutes before my appointment time because no one had called for my copay or anything uet. Receptionist told me that the first visit with the NP was video, and future ones was via phone call (No one told me that last time). Here it is now 5 after and still no phone call yet from the NP or anyone else.

The providers who write the scripts have zero clue what they are doing.Constantly getting them wrong, Dr Hawkins messes up more than he gets right as well. He is the last one I ever want to see. I never saw him til I was an established patient and, as usual, the prescribers screwed up my scripts and I went into withdrawal. On psych meds. He knew the three I needed and the one I didn’t. He sent in the wrong one and I had to go a whole weekend with no help as they leave at noon on Fridays. And they often forget to turn the answering service on. Their vm is ALWAYS full so you’re screwed either way. Currently need meds and pharmacy tried for a MONTH to get approved told yesterday by his office they were approved and sent in by noon. Nope. It’s Friday, no answering service on and Vm full. I’m screwed. I am looking for new dr ASAP.

susan at Hawkins Psychiatry truly saved my life. She diagnosed and prescribed for my illness so effectively that my I have no more symptoms and I am able to lead a normal and happy life. I am so grateful to her and I thank God for her!

Dr. Hawkins is the kind of physician you search for and once you find, you stay with for the long run.
