Excellent Consult Today
Dr. Williams performed a total reverse shoulder replacement on my right shoulder some years ago. I had seen him about a year ago regarding pain starting in my left shoulder. That pain has gotten worse, and I had a follow-up consult today on that. I assumed I’d be heading into surgery again, and was not looking forward to that recovery period. After reviewing last year’s notes and new X-rays, and taking sufficient time to converse with me, Dr. Williams recommended physical therapy at this time, and injections after that if therapy is ineffective. I was relieved that this was his opinion. I expect I’ll need surgery again in the future, but if so, I will be happy to have Dr. Williams as my surgeon.

Amazing shoulder recovery
I just had my 2 year follow-up with Dr Williams for my 2024 total shoulder replacement and I could not have asked for a better outcome. I actually healed quite quickly and had full range of motion after a year. I knew Dr. Williams was the best in the area and am so glad I went to him. I could barely move my arm beforehand and now can raise it above my head, behind my back, and have absolutely no issues. The surgery plus the immediate work on physical therapy gave me back full use.

He is the BEST by far!
He is strait to the point! Tells it like it is! Had previous surgery with excellent outcome. Unfortunately I need second shoulder surgery, I wouldn’t think to go to anyone else!

Top notch
Dr Williams is just the kind of doctor that I was looking for to help me with my shoulder issues. I had tourn rotator cuffs and arthritis. He did a total reverse replacement. I had very minimal pain and a quick recovery which was essentially PT to stretch & strengthen my muscles. He manner is direct but very caring. He thoroughly explained every thing, taking as much time as I needed with my concerns. I highly recommend Dr Williams.

Best shoulder surgeon in Philly
I’m in the health care field and spoke to a lot of insiders. Dr Williams name came up again and again. He performed a reverse shoulder on me and I couldn’t be happier. 95% function without pain. Looks like I made the right choice!

Pain Free Surgery and Recovery
Telehealth
I had a follow up appointment today with Dr Williams at 3 months after my pain free full shoulder replacement. My range of motion is back at least 90% and I know it will continue to improve. My outcome at this point exceeds my expectations. Now that I can start to golf again I’m hoping my new shoulder will improve my handicap. Dr Williams and his office staff are the best. I had an issue with getting my X-rays sent from an of state provider and Kari helped me work through the issue and got me rescheduled quickly when my appointment had to be postponed. I’ve already recommended Dr Williams to a couple of friends.

Dr. Williams is definitely 5 plus stars.
He restored my left shoulder 100 % in 2014, and is now consulting on my right shoulder. I trust him implicitly , and for shoulders, he is the best! Nice guy, too.

Third and best consultation
I tore my rotator cuff three years ago and didn't feel that the two doctors I saw at the time were very helpful. They were vague and basically left the decision to me about whether I should do it or not. My physical therapist recommended Dr. Williams and what a difference. When I left his office there was no vagueness about any of it and I felt he had given me, clearly and concisely, all the information I needed to make an informed decision. Saw him recently for another problem and wouldn't go anywhere else for a shoulder problem.

It started with a great dialog at the initial consultation, through the post-op visit. He made known what his expectations and concerns were. His team knew of his expectations, making it even easier to follow instructions. This held true to the hospital staff as well. Could not imagine anyone needing to consult with anyone else in regards to shoulder surgery.

Communication lacking.
Met nurse practitioner who scripted PT, worsening pain, then CT scan. No call after test results on what to do, who to see. Confusion over their retrieval of test images over a 3 day period, told us they would get them electronically then told us to get a disk. 12 days out Staff told us by phone what Dr. Williams said, it was very broad and general. No offer of an appt. We were basically forced to look for another doc. A shame, Dr. Williams might have been excellent.

Excellent Care and Service
The care was excellent from beginning to end. I was treated for shoulder issues for sometime trying to avoid surgery but eventually surgery was needed. The care I received in treatment and surgery was that of care and patience. Explaining each step to me so I would be comfortable in making the decisions concerning my health. Nothing but good things to say about the care I received from my doctor and all his supporting staff.
