My mother was diagnosed with colorectal cancer and was told she might not make it through the weekend. Instead, Dr. Rittersbach performed surgery on her, and I had her for another 18 wonderful months! He is kind, caring, and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend him!

Be aware. In my two encounters with this doctor for my mother, I found him to be a very angry person. I thought it was my imagination. But after the second time in his presence, there was no mistake. He had no problem giving my mother a complete colostomy without first trying to save her bowels. My mother's life was changed forever. Then, unfortunately, he had to give her a hernia repair surgery which was a flop. Why we ever used him for a second surgery is ridiculous. Oh how I wish we went to someone else. What a heartache.

Best gastro surgeon in the area. After many mistakes from other physicians. He saved my life. He stopped a colon bleeding that I suffered for 3 years with a procedure done on less than 2 minutes at his office. It is what I call a real professional. Thank you Dr. Ritterbach. Dr Rittersbach performed colorectal laparoscopic surgery on me in 2016. Diagnosis was accurate, pre-surgery explanation was excellent. He is a very caring and compassionate physician. He even called me on a weekend when I had a question. Surgery went very well and recovery was one of the quickest. No need for any other treatment after surgery. Four years and knock on wood, everything is great. I am at a loss for words to thank him.

To the point -> DR. RITTERSBACH SAVED MY LIFE. I was diagnosed with colon cancer in 02/2016, one week from my 70th birthday and it was recommended that I get surgery before Chemo. My wife, Joan, suggested I ask for Dr. Rittersbach, George, advised me that the surgery would be approx. 2 hrs,. He was on his feet for over 4 hrs, taking out cancer (laparoscopically) from wherever he found it. He provided me with pain pills, Didn't need or take ONE, I'm feeling great, totally cancer free since then.

Surgical skill are good. Patient care is none existent. My husband was a patient and he was treated as a drug seeker. He refused to look into the continued problems caused by his surgery. My husband almost died due to complications he refused to acknowledge. My only recourse was to take him to Cleveland Clinic. There he was treated respectfully and the complications were fixed. Unfortunately due to his lack of care my husband I'd now disabled. Do not use this doctor.

He is one of the most caring, smart and knowledgeable General Colorectal Surgeons that I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. He immediately diagnosed my problem where others did not/could not after multiple visits, prescriptions, etc. His staff is amazing and I trust him with my life.

I highly recommend you find another surgeon. Dr. Rittersbach misdiagnosed my rectal pain and his prescriptions did not help. I went to the Cleveland Clinic for a second opinion, and received correct diagnosis/treatment. His rectal exam was the most brutal & painful exam I have ever experienced. He was not gentle, nor had any empathy, at all. Compared to the surgeon I saw at Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Rittersbach appears now to be a small town doctor, who is totally unprofessional.

Dr Ritterbach has excellent bedside manners and is very professional, caring, qualified and competent. He goes he extra for his patients.

THIS DOCTOR ALLEGED MY VARIOUS CONDITIONS WERE RELATED TO HIV+ STATUS ALTHOUGH I HAVE HAD AN UNDETECTABLE VIRAL LOAD FOR OVER 13 YEARS ABD NY CELL COUNTS ARE NORMAL. 3 OTHER PHYSICIANS HAVE TOLD THE SURGEON'S ASSESSMENT OF MY CONDITION IS COMPLETELY WRONG. GOD WILLING THE CHEMOTHERAPY AND RADIATION THERAPY WILL ERADICATE MY CANCER AND I WILL NOT NEED ANYMORE CONTACT WITH DR RITTERSBACH AFTER HE PROVIDES ME WITH A PORT FOR THE CHEMOTHERAPY

Dr. Rittersbach and his entire staff is exceptional and so professional. I wish the rest of my doctors and their staff was as wonderful as Dr. Rittersbach and his staff. I have been a medical professional for 40 years and I didn't think I would find the excellence I was used to in NJ when I moved to Florida, but I must say, Dr. Rittersbach and his staff made me believe in excellence here in Florida. I just wish all the many other doctors and their staff of employees were just as good.

I have had to have 2 rectal surgeries and Dr. Rittersbach did both of them. I am more than satisfied with the results of my surgeries. He knows what he is doing. He explains everything to you and will listen to your questions and answer them. Very good with his patients. I have recommended him to my husband and also my neighbor.
