Only gave 1 star because you have to. Dr. Raukar is a hack!!! If you want an arrogant doctor that does not care about his patients, then he’s your guy!!!

One revision surgery on my femur two weeks after first operation, and he discharged me saying the bone was healing great. After getting nowhere fast with P.T.,I saw an orthopedic surgeon at BWH in Boston where I was told that the bone was a non union and not healed at all. It is now three years since Dr. Raukar operated on my fractured femur, and I am just now, ebony ing to walk again with the aid of appliances.(the typo before “to walk again” should read “beginning.” My quality of life during those three years was abysmal thanks to this so called doctor.

He cares a lot, he won't operate unless you actually need it. It's kind of different for New England but he has steered me and my family right. He's also tough to give up narcotics.

I'm not sure why he received such a low rating! I searched for him before my appointment, found the ratings on here and decided to give him a chance but not have high expectations. I saw Dr. Raukar in Westport today and I felt compelled to come review him! He could not have been clearer explaining my situation to me. He could not have been nicer. I have no complaints!!! I hope others give him a chance as I had a wonderful experience today! Thank you!
