Billing practices against patient best interest
I love Dr. Pilcher. He is genuinely the best doctor I think I've seen. But the medical group he works for and their internal billing policies flagrantly run against the patient's best interest. Note that if you find that there was a better payment option for you (self pay) than using your insurance, and your insurance company is willing to assist processing a retraction (even though they paid no money on the claim), Ascension Medical Group will refuse to allow you to pay the lesser cost option. I wish I could afford to continue see Dr. Pilcher, but I can no longer trust his medical group to look out for my best interest. All patients considering seeing him please think this way: If money is no object, this is your doctor. But if you must budget your life, know that this medical group is not out to help you. They are only going to do their best to move every single penny from your pocket to theirs, ruthlessly.

Best bedside manners
Dr. George Pitcher has been my doctor for about 17 years. I've never had a bad experience with him or his staff. His decision on my treatment has been excellent for my condition. He has done several angioplasty and several Stent placement. He takes his time and explains every thing to you and doesn't mind questions. He is very soft spoken and is always the same in very visit. I've never seen him with a bad attitude. Always walks in with a smile. He had alot to do with me overcoming my anxiety.

Great Doctor and staff!
Dr. Pilcher saved my life 10 years ago in the middle of the night. I have been seeing him once a year since. When I have an appointment with him he never runs in the door and right back out and throws a bunch of big words at me I don’t understand ! He makes sure all my questions are answered!
