Visit for hip pain
Great overview and explanation on what was going on with my hip and the path forward to recovery. Would also like to add what an excellent job Eric Caloud did on his assessment and spending time going over options.

Personable, 1 on 1 Care.
Doctor Pappas is a bit of a unicorn in the orthopedic world in Charleston. He is extremely personable, caring, and very much vested in each of his patients. He repaired my shoulder in February and has just completed surgery on my hip and I could not be more pleased. He is conservative in his recovery with his patients, allowing them to be absolutely certain to have a lasting outcome. I highly recommend Doctor Pappas to anyone who needs anything in the hip, knee, or shoulder realm.

Awful Staff
Can’t see the doctor due to he wants a surgery report on my shoulder. I have never had surgery on my left shoulder. Spent 10 minutes asking the appointment lady how do I get surgery info if I haven’t had surgery? She stated she can’t schedule me with out the notes… so I said ok i will go to another doctor and get an a report but she said they need the original… I am so lost with this office.

Dr. Pappas is awesome. I had my hip surgery 6 months ago and have been able to return to running pain free. I truly have my life back. His PA Erica and the other office staff are also great. I work in the health professions and I cannot recommend him enough!!

Dr. Pappas has been one of the BEST orthopedic surgeons I have ever been to. He was able to quickly and clearly identify my hip issue that other providers were unable to accomplish. He has been clear, thorough, understanding and very detailed in his approach to my care. I would highly recommend Dr. Pappas!

Dr. Pappas was recommended to us by another doctor. We were extremely impressed after reading his bio. We have been even more impressed in his care. Our 16 year old daughter, who is the youngest of our four children , is a patient of his. Dr. Pappas is a brilliant exceptional surgeon with a fantastic bedside manner. He always takes the time to examine her condition and then to explain everything in great detail. We trust him with our daughters care and highly recommend him

Dr. Pappas was wonderful with my daughter. He worked her in to his busy schedule and even stayed late on a Friday afternoon to see her. He explained everything to both of us and was so thorough. The staff was so nice and accommodating. He came up with a great plan!

I can't really rate him. The girl up front didn't put my card in properly which I checked with my bank and money was in my account. Took me a little over an hour to get there and because of her I had to reschedule. Not happy so I cancelled. She wouldn't even try to do it again. Not going back. As much as I am in pain, I will wait to move to Tenn. Done with SC.
