Excellent care
Dr Nowacek took time to make sure that I understood my options, and gave detailed explanations to all my questions. He is very knowledgeable in his field, and encourages you to have a part in decision making. Bedside manner is great. I have already gotten more help since I switched to his care, than in all the time with other providers!

Dismissive
He was completely dismissive about everything. He was everything women fear about their pain, symptoms, and worries being dismissed and ignored.

A wonderful doctor!
I highly recommend Dr. Nowacek. I saw him as a new patient in NC, and he was the most wonderful medical provider. He listened to all of my questions and concerns, reviewed treatment options with me, and provided wonderful follow-up advice and care. He was always highly professional, caring, and compassionate.

I saw him in Chapel Hill. I would never go back to him. He spent most of my appointment time (super quick) asking me why I was there. Then he explained how insurance worked. I was diagnosed with a rare life threatening disease and my doctor wanted me to see an OBGYN. Also, I had not seen my previous doctor for over 18 months. So it was confusing and degrading for him to treat me like “why are you here”? I am surprised he works for such a wonderful medical group. I would never recommend him.

When Dr. "George" was practicing in Macon, GA he misdiagnosed my pregnancy as ectopic and had me admitted into the hospital for a D and C. When conducting my vaginal ultrasound he was still not able to locate my daughter's heartbeat in utero. Dr. Roddenberry thankfully walked in during my ultrasound and had to point out the heartbeat to Dr. "George". My daughter would not be here today had Dr. Roddenberry not saved her from the mistakes made by Dr. George Nowacek.

He didn't jump to a drastic measure to treat my condition. He gave me all the ways I could be treated, told me what he would recommend and then let me be involved in making the decision. He gave me choices and time to feel comfortable with my course of treatment.
