I Do not recommend this doctor!
Through the past four years, particularly the past two 2023 2024. I have had countless operations by him some that were unnecessary and the latest performed in August 2024 he was supposed to remove the apparatus in my leg because bacteria was clinging to it and it was advised by infectious disease doctors to take the apparatus out. He refused two times by the third time. I also demanded he take the apparatus out. I go to a specialist in Orlando and he takes x-rays and part of the apparatus was still in there! What is the point of that then I found out the following month September Cleveland clinic hospital took his operating privileges away. I am very upset and angry.

Excellent experience
Better than winning the lottery. I had knee replacement surgery on both knees. One on Monday, second one on Wednesday. I walked out of there Thursday. Never took any pain medication. It was an excellent experience. Robert Perkel

Could not be happier, such a gratifying experience. Dr. Nichols is old school professionalism, integrity and candor. He is however probably better versed in the new technology and latest methods of treatment than most o the new Drs. entering the practice. I am in no position to judge because I am not a peer, but my full confidence is in Doctor Nichols He seems to to take use of both the experiences of the past and the improvements of the future and current knowledge. He is sharp as a tack cognitively and appears healthy as a bear physically.. He gains my utmost respect through the example he sets in his own health and wellness and therefore provides a great confidence for me. I extend to you my gratitude and the pleasure I have felt knowing there are still professionals of your caliber to help. Stay with us, you are greatly needed. Sincerely, Bruce Engle ( knee replicant patient )

Dr Nichols was my 2nd knee surgeon I consulted. He did my total knee replacement July 1st and I can not recommend him highly enough. He spent the time I needed to understand the surgery, his office staff, especially Diane who usually answers the office phone have been very nice and quick to relay any questions I may have to Dr Nichols and get back with me same day. Thank you thank you thank you Dr George Nichols and staff for my amazing new knee!

I was in a recovery room, awake but with my eyes closed after a partial knee surgery. I had discussed at length with Dr. Nichols what prosthesis he was going to use. While my eyes were closed and thinking I was asleep he walked in and said, "There's my guinea pig". I opened my eyes and surprised him when I said, "Excuse me?" He said he used a different prosthesis than the one we had discussed, claiming it would last longer than a glued-in one. I asked him how many times he had used that prosthesis and and he replied I was the first. As it turned out he installed it at an angle and I am now a candidate for revision surgery. Stay Away!

Dr. Nichols was very delightful, he spent time explaining what I was to look forward to from start to finish. My knee replacement recovery was phenomenal. Emily the LPN, was extraordinary along with Peggy the surgery scheduler. They made me feel right at home, I would recommend this office to anyone. Your in great hands !

AWFUL. Switched to Dr. Ackerman in WPB to fix Nichols' mess. Nichols is incompetent and unfeeling. Put a cast on Mom's knee. Mom complained and Nichols disregarded her. Wire poked out of knee and cooked up an infection under the cast. Wouldn't have happened if he listened and took a n x-ray. More to the story but I hope he quits practicing. Mom was very loyal to him until his ego really affected her health.BTW, Nichols notes on my Mom were near non-existent for near 2 years. Yikes!

Dr. Nichols performed bilateral knee surgery on me in 2017. I was back riding my bike outdoors within one month and swimming within three weeks. I did so well that I was released from physical therapy a month early. I attribute Dr. Nichols expertise and innovative surgical methods to my quick and very successful recovery. I highly recommend him to anyone needing knee surgery.

First class orthopedic surgeon, certainly one of the best in the country. However, if you're looking for great bedside manners, you may be disappointed. He's more interested in your bones and joints than your feelings so suck it up and feel good in knowing you're in the hands of a true master.. As a former tennis player and marathon and Iron Man competitor, he wants to win and he "wins" when your operation is successful. You're in the best of hands with Dr. Nichols.

Dr. Nichols was very flexible with my compressed schedule. The hip replacement was a dramatic success. The morning after my mid-day surgery, I walked the full length of the hospital hall and went up and down a flight of stairs with no crutches or cane. I was released 23 hours after I went into surgery. When I got home, I was able to climb 17 stairs to the upstairs bedroom to resume sleeping in my own bed. I was back to work restoring boats in two weeks. A wonderful experience.
