There's no doctor more caring, competent and committed! Dr. Martin saved my life, even though I had no insurance, and continued to treat me, gratis, for three years, until I got coverage. This was after two other Maui dermatologists misdiagnosed my potentially fatal condition, btw. Highest possible recommendation!

Although Dr. Martin is a personable (and knowledgeable) doctor, it has been frustrating these past few years having my appointment frequently cancelled via voice mail, and then when I have tried to reschedule, there is nothing available for months. I was delighted to get a couple of recent appointments with the new doctor. She was timely, thorough, and very professional. I used to wait on average a half hour for my appointment; the last two times it was only a few minutes.

Dr. Martin needs to learn polite bedside manners. He is so rough it was all I could not to jump off the table and run. He acts like a know it all.

I have only seen the PA. I went twice for a skin exam; the PA was minimally complacent answering my concerns (skin cancer runs in my family, so I want to be sure). My biggest complaint is when I took my 14 year old daughter this past week for acne. We discussed options and decided on a face wash, body wash, and topical creme. I asked about insurance coverage and cost. They assured me insurance covered it and gave coupons. Coupons didn't work and the combined cost was over $700! Wasted time.

While Dr. Martin's office claims he is taking new patients, first available appointment is in November of 2017. He only offers appointments with PA or NP before that.
