Great ER doc!
Ended up in the ER with severe pelvic/back pain. Never suspected a kidney stone - I've had those and this felt different. But sure enough, the scan he ordered showed a stone. I don't think they normally admit patients for kidney stones but he did (i think bc my cbc was off). I had a stent placed to help ease the pressure on my kidney until it passed. They were giving me hydrocodone every 4 hours for pain but decided to discharge me on the 2nd day WITHOUT pain medication - a subjective decision made by the doctor in charge at the time of discharge. I was so upset and when i spoke with her, she flatly stated, "I do not prescribe narcotics. Studies prove patients can become addicted after two days.". Are you freakin kidding me??? No way could I function without something for pain. Then found out a different doctor had already called in a prescription? I was confused. Dr. Kochman had called it in for me before I was even admitted. He must have known I was going to need it.

On January 5 I visited the Howard County hospital emergency room for debris in my eye. Dr. George Kochman billed me, but I never laid eyes on him, he never saw me nor say hi to me nor asked me what the problem was, so how could he have treated me? He never looked at my injured eye. He was a person in the abys. However he knew my name, enough to bill me and the insurance. I saw the best triage nurse but the PAs were horrible he didn't even supervise her. She hurt me and he did nothing.
