Beyond rude.
Went in for an HSG prior to fertility treatments. He asked if I had ever had one before. I told him no but my sister had and told me what to expect. His response was 'my cousin is a pro golfer, doesn't mean I know anything about golf.' When we got in to do the procedure, he told me the cervix has no nerve endings and it would not hurt. I about came off the table in pain. The balloon deflated and slipped out, his response was a chuckle and 'that was the practice round'. He forced the catheter in and told me my cervix was tilted so it was not making things easy. When it came time for my IUI, he unfortunately did that procedure also. I told him my cervix was tilted to make it a little easier. His response 'yep looks like you came back with the same one'. There is now a note on my chart that he never touch or consult my fertility treatments again.

Good surgeon
I think Dr. Grunert is a good surgeon. He performed my egg retrieval and I had minimal post procedure discomfort. He also has a good humor and eased my nerve before the procedure.

THE BEST DOCTOR IN AMERICA !!!!
I Would highly recommend Dr. Grunert. After many years of infertility and having only a 30% chance of getting pregnant, Dr. Grunert was able to help us build a family. With his knowledge and experience we were able to give birth to a baby boy. I suffered from a Unicorniate-Uterus, Endometriosis, PCOS, and 1 Kidney and he still had faith in me and science. My husband and I are Thankful to Dr. Grunert and his whole team that do the best everyday to care for all the women trying to make the mommy dream.

Go get 2nd opinion & another doctor
Very disappointed when I froze my eggs, this doc told me I was healthy, retrieved 29 eggs. 18k paid, cash. When it was time to use the eggs few years later, none of them even survived. He also told me i would need a surrogate in order to have children. Pretty much wasted my time, money, and heartbreak. I got a 2nd opinion, and after one successful round of ivf even being 39, retreived 19 eggs. Now I have a amazing 4 year old. Carried her in my tummy myself. Be aware.

Negative. Bad outcome. During a third endometriosis clean up during my infertility treatments, Dr. Grunert cut a hole in my ureter with a laser, noting it in his surgical notes but never warned me or family about this possible situation. Within 24 hours I was in emergency surgery to save my kidne. I subsequently had 3 more stint surgeries, multiple kidney infections which resulted in hospital stays and IV antibiotics, and eventually, a major repair surgery to excise the damaged portion of my ureter, and reimplant it into my bladder. I was in hospital for 2 weeks, at home with a catheter for 2 more, and subsequently needed a full hysterectomy. Due to the pain I suffered from the multiple surgeries, I developed an addiction to opiates. It took years away from my life, and all of our savings, and any hope for a family. The worst part, I never saw his face again. Once the injury was done, he never returned phone calls or came to check in on me.

My husband and I were so blessed to work with Dr. Grunert and his amazing team. After five years of not achieving pregnancy via assisted fertility, we made a thoughtful move to change doctors. I "dated" a few doctors, and upon the recommendation of a friend's relative who'd conceived the most beautiful twins under Dr. Grunert and team's care, I consulted with Dr. Grunert and never looked back. He and his team have been highly instrumental in helping us realize the miracle of pregnancy.

Dr. Grunert is a terrible doctor. He was rude and uninterested in my concerns with IVF, which he repeatedly tried to force me to do. He also gave me the least effective option of hormones. Thankfully, I found another dr and learned that there are more effective treatments and other options. AND the other dr was smart enough to discover I had a small, correctable issue that was affecting my fertility. With that issue, IVF would not have work on me anyway, but Dr. Grunert just wanted get paid

My wife and I came to Dr. Grunert early 2015 and we were not very hopeful by the time we made it to this part. This doctor took time to explain in detail our options and although we were a bit shaky about moving forward due to the pricing. He gave us all options but we wanted the best one so we followed instructions and went through w/ the 2nd cycle being successful. Everyone there was very nice and understanding. This a most definitely a doctor I would recommend.

Well after 2 different fertility clinics and 3 cycles we met Dr. Grunert who finally found the actual reason that was causing the failed IVF cycles and 2 miscarriages. This doctor did not push us either way and I appreciate the fact that instead of just taking my money over and over he discounted our treatment and actually solved my problem. The staff was very friendly and professional. We really felt important here!

I went to many specialists before I decided on Dr. Gunert. He seemed very smart and explained the process like a high school biology teacher would explain to a class of students. All of the staff members were very nice and extremely helpful. The finance woman Kim was a true joy. All together they made the process easy to understand, easier to afford, and easy to schedule into my regular life.

Dr. Grunert was very knowledgeable and helpful. Not only did he succeed in helping us conceive but he also took the time to go about and beyond with other issues aside the infertility issues I had. The staff were all so very helpful. The office was pretty busy somedays but that's clearly understandable! I have referred 2 people that both have gone through cycles successfully and all agree that this doctor is by far amazing! I will continue to refer people that truly want to conceive!
