Dr. George Dowell Jr, MD

I was a patient of Dr Dowels since 2014 I owed a small balance and his receptionist Ana tried taking 150 out of account without authorization. When I set up a arrangement with the other person she was rude she spoke with Dr and they canceled ne said I was disrespectful and rude and took my prescriptions away even after I made a small payment and Dr Dowell called me a fn liar and hung up on me BE aware of this Ana and Dr dowel I need my meds and this has really disrupted my well being and life

Dr Dowell is a 'first class' psychiatrist who has worked with me for 30 years. My experiences over that time have been the best I could have expected. I have depression and anxiety on a regular basis.

I saw George Dowell for a while. I don't even recognize him as a real doctor because he's everything but be helpful. He talked to me as he was beneath me wouldn't answer my questions. At times he would talk so fast I couldn't understand some of the things he was saying and when I asked him could he repeat some of the things he would say I'll get to that later and never did. My mental state felt worse after every appointment with him.

I have never felt so disrespected and disregarded by a physician. He rushed me through every appointment and summarily dismissed any questions I had regarding my treatment.

The doctor lost his temper and discharged me. He gave me no referral and a 30 day supply of medicine. I hope I can find someone to help me.

DR Dowell pulled me out of a dark hole of depression. I owe my mental life to him. He is so kind and caring.

Can't believe these bad reviews??? Started seeing Dr Dowell in the 1990s, after seeing multiple mental health professionals. Found him to be very understanding, compassionate and helpful in finding the best medicines available at that time. He eventually found a medicine for me "Zoloft" that worked miraculously if I have a depressive episode. I'm alive today because of Dr. Dowell. Depression really is a chemical imbalance in the brain that can be corrected, just like Dr. Dowell told me! He gave me the hope to hang in there till we found the answer. Give Dr Dowell a chance he REALLY is a good doctor.

He is in business strictly for the money, Can't say one positive thing about him. Allied Behavioral Consultants does not even exist anymore. It is not only a waste of time to see him but makes you feel worse because he does nothing to help you nor does he care about it.

I HAD MY FIRST APPOINTMENT WITH DR. DOWELL OVER 8 YEARS AGO, I KNEW RIGHT AWAY DR. DOWELL WAS THE DOCTOR FOR ME. OVER TIME HE HAS DIAGNOSED MY CONDITION EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS. HE MONTORED ME AND IF HE HAD TO WORK WITH MY MEDS TO HELP ME,THATS WHAT HE WOULD DO. ITS NOT HIS JOB TO LISTEN TO PERSONAL ISSUES, BUT IF I HAD ANY HE WOULD TAKE TIME AND LISTEN. DR. GEORGE DOWELL IS ONE OF THE BEST DOCTORS I HAVE HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF WORKING WITH. I AM GRATEFUL FOR HAVING DR. GEORGE DOWELL AS MY DOCTOR.

Extremely unprofessional. Avoid at all costs. Should have license revoked.

Not impressed- Went in and was blown off and given Xanax and a referral to a counselor- 2 weeks later I ended up in the ER and then Psych unit- Diagnosed with Bi Polar and Manic Psychosis.
