Dr Benton is one of the old-time doctors. He is very thorough and asks about your whole family. He will not rush you in and out. He is very caring and thoroughly listens to your issues.

Had chest pains a while back and went to cardiac and thorasic specialists but no one could figure out what was going on. Went so far as to have cardiac cathertization. Dr. Benton gave me his contact info and told me to call him at any time if I had concerns. True to his word he ended up talking to me a couple of times at 3 in the morning. After being in two hospitals and an unknown number of 'specialists' office it was Dr Benton who finally sorted it out.

A Dr oath says 'do no harm'. That applies to the mental as well as physical. The arrogant and condescending way he spoke to my daughter today erased 2 years of therapy and created fear and doubt for her upcoming surgery. In the future, I hope he displays more compassion than he did today. A patient that is overweight doesn't him the right to dismiss legitimate health issues.
