Dr. Benes has given me several colonoscopies there over the years. Just had one today is always the best. I am just a little worried he will be retiring as he's 64 years old. Not sure where I will go after that. They do everything right even numbing your hand before they give you an IV.

Today, my colonoscopy performed by Dr. Benes went well, much like my first procedure over 20 years ago. Throughout those procedures Dr. Benes greets me, chats with me, enables me to “nap” while he works and provides a gentle waking to complete the procedure. No Fear with Benes Here!!!

I went for a Colonoscopy at the age of 32 because my Father developed Cancer from having polyps. I was terrified. After all, you only hear negative things about Colonoscopies. Think about it!!!! When I got there the staff was so very understanding. When I made it into the surgery room where Dr. Benes was located, at his desk, he immediately introduced himself and said "I can tell that maybe you are nervous, Don't be afraid of something so simple. You will go to sleep and then wake up 5 seconds later and it will all be over with." He made me feel so very comfortable. He is one of the best Docs I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I would highly reecomend Doc Benes and if you wouldn't then well, you're just having a bad day!

I have been seeing Dr. Benes for nearly 30 years. He was the only Doctor to treat me in a manner that increased my quality of life. Up until I saw him, my condition was desperate after spending a lot of time seeing specialists at Penn that did not help at all. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Benes. He is the best GI Doctor in the region.

De Benes is fine. He's careful with older patients. He's managed my son's Colitis for a number of years. The office, though, seems unable to see patients in a timely fashion and the wait time is often 45 minutes plus. I see a different gastroenterologist and he seems as skilled as Dr Benes but the office doesn't overschedule.

I did not meet Dr Benes until right before my procedure. He explained what he was going to do and made sure I was comfortable with all the information. He talked to me right after and explained the results in language that I could understand. He was very businesslike. No touchy feeling. I was told to call at a later date to get biopsy results. He personally called that night to tell me my results were negative. He was very relaxed and personable.
