Incredibly knowledgable.He has a PhD and an MD. He regularly reads recent research on the medications he prescribes and seems to understand them way more than a typical psychiatrist.

While Dr Athey seemed to be very knowledgeable and provided good advice, I found him to be a bit of a jerk. He made several subtle remarks knocking my Christian beliefs in favor of his Catholic beliefs, which was completely uncalled for. I can't imagine how bad he was with some of the previous reviewers who aren't even Christians. Neither me nor my child needs to deal with that type of unprofessional behavior.
