Upon our first meeting, I found Dr. Ryan Rieser could look into my eyes and read me so well. He was very honest, and I appreciated his honesty and integrity. My hip-replacement surgery and process was excellent. The information provided by Shenandoah Valley Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, before and after surgery, provided me an excellent recovery and well plan. I listened and followed all instructions. His follow-up care and observance of my rehab therapy contributed to me having a smooth recovery and now a well life. I appreciate his excellence and deep, heart-felt compassion. Dr. Rieser and Shenandoah Valley Orthopedics care about the whole person and their health to a full recovery. I recommend them highly!!

I have a rare shoulder injury. I have spent the past four months researching my condition on-line. Because of its rarity, there are few medical procedures and tests in accepted journals. Most of the literature is made up of case studies. I brought a few of these to my appointment with Dr. Reiser. He ignored the materials and gave a diagnosis that made no sense and suggested treatment that would have made the condition worse. If he had been logical, taken the time to read what I gave him and believe me, there would not have been any confusion. He was simply unprofessional. I have since been to another doctor who has taken the time to care about his patient. I am still surprised that Dr. Rieser chose not see a fact that was clearly in his face. I hope this attitude doesn’t result in harm to a a patient at some point.

Dr Rieser advised me that both of my hips needed total replacement Surgery was May first. I walked out thirty five hours later with a walker. The first week was not much fun, but every day improved. With the help of my physical therapists I was back at work three weeks later. I saw Dr. Rieser today for my 8 week check up. No more pain, I walk like John Wayne. Thanks doc. Great staff, great facility

I wanted an up to date surgeon one with new technologies and procedures, I got it with Dr. Rieser, he was out standing very knowledgeable in his practice. He made me feel calm and apart of my situation. I am pretty sure the entire practice is outstanding, but if you want minium down time and less evassive surgery then Dr. Rieser is the guy! I had a total hip replacement, his procedure goes in the front not the back, this makes all the difference in your down time.

I had to undergo a patella tendon repair. Dr. Rieser performed great work to get me back on track. Due to the inability to really maneuver my knee after surgery I developed much scar tissue. I had to have a second surgery (orthroscopic). In a week post surgery I was back up and walking and driving while attending physical therapy. I couldn't have made it this far without him. Hats off to a great surgeon and a better person. Thanks I really appreciated your dedication to your profession.

When I visited VA, I was under an immense amount of pain w/no hope of recovery. I suffered 8-yrs from a previous knee replacement surgery, until I met Dr. Rieser. He found the source of my pain coupled w/his effective analysis & diagnosis, ending w/his skilled hands during my 2 surgeries. Dr. Rieser is an amazing doctor who has restored my life because he listened & cared enough to help me. I recommend him as a 5 Star Surgeon. I will forever be grateful & my heartfelt thanks goes out to him.

At first I was worried since Dr. Rieser is new to the area. But after speaking with him, it's clear that it is a benefit that he is just out of his joint replacement specialty fellowship. He is up to date on the newest techniques and treatments, He explains medical conditions clearly and will speak to and inform his patients about all possible treatment options. I would not hesitate to send a friend or family member to him for treatment.

After suffering a quad tendon rupture I met Dr. Rieser for a surgery consult at Shenandoah Orthopedics on December 4, 2017. He gave me a thorough exam and scheduled surgery for the next day. That's no small feat considering the size of the practice he is part of. Surgery went well and post op care was excellent. He and his staff were very helpful in working with the VA. on my behalf. I'm grateful to Dr Rieser for his professionalism and surgical talent. Highly recommend him.

I could not be more satisfied than I am with Dr. Rieser. He was very thorough in explaining the procedure as what to expect before and after. He took really good care of me as he said he would. The staff was the best. I've had no complications, am doing great. I highly recommend him as one of the best surgeons in the valley. I have recommended him to my family and friends and my neighbor.
