Absolutely the Best
I had the good fortune of being treated by Dr. Kunz at the Heart Hospital upon transport from the ER last year. Simply put, he saved my life and with his help, I've turned my health around 180 degrees. He is kind and caring and takes his time with follow-up appointments. And... he's the best. Thank you so much, Dr. Kunz. You are truly changing lives.

Best in Albuquerque
Dr. Kuntz is a very knowledgeable cardiologist with heart valve experience. He is very easy to converse with and attentive. He carefully explained all the results of my ECG and compared the historical data. I would be very comfortable with him leading the way on future aortic valve replacement when it becomes necessary.

Life Saver
Dr Kunz was the first to provide care to my mom as she was brought into the ER. Because of Dr Kunz gifts, talents and abilities she is alive and well, 17 years later. She sings his praise often. Thank Dr.

Mr.
Both my wife and I are alive today because of the medical expertise of Dr. Kunz! For nearly two-decades he has been our cardiologist. He is solely responsible for saving both our lives after each of had heart episodes. His monitoring our health conditions and addressing blood pressure issues early on have been pivotal in our living into our mid80's.

He is and always has been consistently tuned in to us when my husband and I had an appointment /checkup. He 'leans in' listens and seems to always have a positive sense and spirit. However, the changes since Lovelace "took over' NM Heart Hospital are not all good ones. TIGHT booking, shorter visits, inability to discuss/chat with doctor except at visit which took FOUR MONTHS to get. Reception area also is disengaged, curter than we remember it being and are somewhat unpleasant to deal with. I MISS the manner in which old NM Heart hospital dealt with patients and miss the sense of connection....

Dr. Kunz is very rigid and overestimates his skill. I found him intimidating and very confusing as what he told me results of the cardiac cath were did not match what he put in his report. He is exceptionally well trained a good for a patient who wants an all knowing expert but is a bad match for a pro-active and educated patient. Given most people meeting him the first time are having a heart attack this concerns me deeply. I do not trust him to treat me again for these reasons.
