Honestly, couldn't ask for a better doctor. When I first went to see her, I was 45, morbidly obese @ ~310 pounds, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetic, etc. She did not judge me but diplomatically encouraged me to lose weight and get my health in order. Long story short, with her help and support, I ended up losing ~145 pounds and ran the 2009 Boston Marathon. 11 years later, I continue to run marathons (66 "full" -26.2 mile marathons), and train and work with people all over the world, doing what I can to help them lose weight. Sadly, we will be moving away to SC in Aug 2020 and can only hope my wife and I find someone that comes close to the care that we have received from her.

Knowledgeable. Attentive. Thorough. Holistic. The kind of doctor who understands the mind/body connection and is interested in life style (ie. exercise, diet, mindfulness) to address causes as well as symptoms.

I saw dr anand 5 months post partum. I gained a lot of weight when I was pregnant, 60 lbs, but I lost 40 in 5 months and was actively losing weight. Dr anand treated me like a morbidly obese person, not a 20 lb overweight post partum mother. She gave me hand outs and treated me like I ate cheeseburgers and pizza all day instead of dieting while breastfeeding and working out daily. I’m still upset. I’m a size 6. Yes that’s more than usual but still, not big enough to get healthy weight hand outs.
