Does not care about patients!
The worst doctor I have ever met!! I ended up having to have a foot of my colon removed because of him. He did not listen to my concerns & never laid a hand on me.

Dr. Owens has been my primary care doctor for a few years. He listens to my concerns and has a caring bedside manner. He has provided exceptional care at every appointment. I am female and have never experienced the treatment that other females have commented about in their reviews here. My husband just started seeing him also and was very pleased with the care he received.

I have been his patient for over 3 years. When I first went to him, I was concerned that he was not listening to me. He sent me to many specialists and never really treated me at all. He is over-testing and just sure you are more critical than you are (alarmist). I quit going to him for about a year and then decided it was too much trouble to find another Dr. so I went back for my yearly. When I was suffering from nausea, with the virus around, I tried to just get some pills for the nausea. He made me come in and sent me to the ER thinking I had pancreatitis. It was just a stomach virus. What a fiasco. I will not go back.

Since moving to the Asheville area 2 yes ago I've been a patient of Dr Owen. I've only had to use him for checkups and doing blood work. He's a good listener and I would recommend Dr. Owens.

He is well groom. He does not appear disinterested and just goes through basics. I saw him because I had a sore throat and he did not even look at my throat. He is anxious to pass patients on the Specialist. I feel like he's a traffic Cop to direct a patients to a Specialist instead of atempting to explore the issue. He is nice but somewhat absent.

Dr Owens treated both my husband and I with dignity and respect. He is a good listener and answers all our questions thoroughly. The treatment plan was explained and follow up planned. I highly recommend!

Dr. Owens is one of the most caring and most thorough physicians I have ever known. He takes time to learn all of the facts and answers my questions. I believe he genuinely cares for his patients. I highly recommend him.

I was extremely disappointed with this visit. Dr. Owens is not my usual provider - for which I am very grateful. Time spent was extremely short. In response to 2 of my questions, the response was "M'am - I cannot help you with that." No concern for my pain or suggestions for who I should see or what I could do. I would NOT recommend this provider to anyone. This experience was very unusual for this office.

I would not recommend. I gave him my list of conditions and he responded that he was overwhelmed and didn't know how he could help with my "exotic conditions" as he just put his head into his hands. That was fine with me, and said it is OK if we are not a fit, pass me onto another doctor. I decided after that 1st visit to change to a new doctor coming into the practice. Dr. Owens refused to sign off allowing me to see a new physician. He seems to have female issues, terrible bedside manner.

Had problems w/office & dr. Was clear I'd be reluctant to do new procedures & that was fine per receptionist - I asked. Got my forms to office a wk in advance. They said it would be reviewed before my appt. They weren't. When I got there my recds, appeared just my hand-written forms fm their website. Weird. When did they really decide I wasn't a fit? The doctor seemed pompous & condescending. Women lack of obedience issue (how it felt). I don't know but I left and will never ever return.
