Your trust is our top concern.

We strive to keep reviews honest, trustworthy, and fair.

Doctors can not pay for good reviews, nor can they pay to have negative reviews removed.

We monitor all reviews to ensure they comply with our guidelines and don’t include personal information, profanity, libel, defamation, harassment, obscenity or fraud.

Any reviews that are deemed fraudulent or violate our guidelines will be removed immediately.

All reviews are confirmed and audited before publication, and community members have the ability to flag inappropriate content for further review by our team.

I saw Dr. Rao without reading these reviews but share the same experience as a lot of other people who have left negative reviews (which is a relief because I had no idea how the visit went so horribly, and I was questioning whether I had done something wrong). I explained to her my issues and when I asked her what her initial thoughts were on what was wrong with me based on what I mentioned, it quickly went downhill. From that point on, she was defensive and combative and took every opportunity to remind me that she was the smartest person in the room every time I asked a question ("I went to Yale", "to become a doctor you have to spend all this time in school and then residency", etc). As if that wasn't enough, she even took the time to explain to me the difference between a chiropractor and a neurologist, which I found incredibly insulting. I realized that as patient I was not allowed to question anything she said or she would become incredibly dismissive, rude, and patronizing.

I accompanied my father to his appt. with Dr. Rao and as we both walked out we said to each other she was amazing. Dr. Rao was kind, compassionate and really put my father at ease. When speaking to us she was authentic and offered honest & realistic solutions. We are looking forward to meeting with her again as we improve my father’s health.

Stressful visit turned into ease! She’s wonderfully educated from the best of the best. Her willingness to explain loose ends on the peripheral of epilepsy. She is very caring about her patients and their lives. Very personable, and very knowledgeable. She’s also considerate to the patients significant others. 1000000% recommend her, hands down!

I haven't been able to actually see the doctor so this review is related to how the office is conducted. On the day my appointment was scheduled I get a call asking me to come in earlier, as early as I could. Well, I couldn't just drop everything and leave so I told them I could be about 30 min early. I arrived at the office that the recorded msg told me to go to, but it was the wrong one. So I walked to the other location and about 2 min from that office I got a call saying that the doctor left for an emergency and my appointment would be rescheduled. I think this was a lie, because earlier they said the doctor had seen all her other patients for the day - as if she wanted to get out of the office. So the morning of my rescheduled appointment arrives and I receive a call saying that my appointment was canceled and rescheduled. Guess this doctor doesn't like to show up for work! Good luck seeing her. I can see why she was the only neurologist without a long waiting list....

I used to see her when she was practicing in Yonkers NY until she left to a new location. She was always very caring and motivating.. When all my other doctors said "it's all in your head", Dr Rao was the only one that told me to never doubt what I'm feeling. That was so important to me, I am still very thankful to her. Because of her encouragement alone, I can now fully walk again & I went from up to 40 seizures to about 1 a year. My mother, who was also a patient of Dr Rao, loved her.

She is the worst physician I have ever encountered in my life. Completely cold-hearted, with zero concern or any form of compassion for her patient and the patient's family. I hope no one ever has an encounter with her similar to what my family and I had. In short: she does not care, she is not diligent in her work (coming to an ICU and taking less than 2 minutes to form an opinion without even observing the patient is not an informative judgment), and she is by far one of the worst physicians.

Awful Doctor! She's arrogant, egotistical and doesn't care about the patient. My mom was having issues and I was speaking to her about it and just spoke down to me like I was 3 years old. She didn't bother to look at my moms history or anything, just say things without any basis or merit. Extremely arrogant! Care for your patients not your paycheck!!!!! If there were 0 stars I would have given it to you!
