Dr. Gary Reese Review
My husband has been under the care of neurologist Dr. Gary Reese. So far, we have found him to be very thorough and competent. He also was extremely gracious in explaining the genetic testing component and other tests that he ordered. He also went over my husband's MRI brain scans with us, which I so appreciated. I communicate on my husband's behalf (compliant with HIPPA through associated paperwork). Dr. Reese was very respectful of this and also showed respect to my husband, who has some difficulties with communication. Also, Dr. Reese went so far as to assure us that we would be seen for follow up as soon as possible after we told him we waited 4 months to begin seeing him! His office called to move up an Aug. 15th appointment for follow up to July 12th. I found the staff at the front desk to be very polite and helpful and the medical assistant (Andrea Drai) has communicated consistently via MyChart with me. Quality care - I would recommend Dr. Reese with enthusiasm.

Best Neurologist I have ever seen
I have seen several Neurologists over the years. It can be hard to accept that you have epilepsy but the way Dr. Reese took the time to evaluate me and explain my condition it made it much easier to accept. Dr. Reese is incredibly knowledgeable and more than competent. He took the time to explain every little detail to me. It really felt like he and I together will tackle how I can live with this condition for the rest of my life, and I appreciate knowing that. He also has an excellent professional manner about him - one that conveys compassion and confidence. I actually enjoyed talking with him.

My dad was in the hospital for bleeding in the brain. He was seen by Dr. Reese who was very personable & competent. He received a bill because the EEG was denied for no auth.In addition the codes billed were for an outpatient visit & indicated the doc spent over an hour face to face with my dad.I called the biller but the phone was disconnected. When she finally called my father she stated she was on vacation & this was a courtesy.I spoke with her but she wouldn't let me finish a sentence.A simple appeal would provide more info to the ins. & likely result in payment for the EEG,The biller, Debbie, refused to appeal further.I tried to tell her not to bill w/the nonspecific diagnosis but she is "very experiences & knows how to handle these things".It is unfortunate that she represents this fine physician. He was reimbursed much more than the documented services he provided & now they are asking my father to pay for the denied EEG incorrectly billed.I sent a formal complaint to insurance.

A daughter's battle with a incompetent "biller" – Nov 16, 2019

I was in the hospital for a stroke with treatment by Dr. Gary Reese. He is a doctor who speaks to a patient with authority, knowledge and clarity. He supports all he says with details of research and years of experience. He is respectful and caring at the same time. What a joy to find a doctor who cares...all visits are echoing the same.

Very uncaring towards my Husbands condition. Saw him in the hospital and in his office one time..treated my husband and myself with distain. When we scheduled a different Neurologist to see my husband, Dr Reese refused to transfer the records to her office without a written consent from my husband who has a very difficult time writing, a phone call from my husband or myself would not suffice. I will never recommend Dr Reese to anyone.

I came here in may 2015 and the office manager stole my money. I paid a Co payment of 50 dollars and had my insurance 3 way call them to tell them I met my deductible and she still argued and said u did not and that she would not pay me back. I was seen mutiple times in a few months after a hospital stay and so the offices did not see I met my out of pocket max. And the other offices paid me back but this manager that he has had forever here refused to pay me back even after mutiple calls 4m ins

I was referred to Dr. Reese after my GP took and MRI which indicated signs of MS. I have heard stories about other people with MS who spend years trying to figure out why they are losing feeling and/or control of various body parts, going through several relapses and acquiring disabilities before finally getting anything figured out. I was diagnosed and put on appropriate medication relatively quickly. It sucks having MS, but I am happy with how things have gone so far.

I sought out Dr Reese, after having a stroke in March of 2016. I asked my family Dr for a recommendation after I got out of the hospital. I have "confidence" in his diagnosis, his thoroughness in reviewing the brain scans, the MRI's and MRA's taken while in the hospital. He did not hesitate to call the Radiology Department at Hospital to discuss the films personally with the Dr's who interpret them. He got me to a cardiovascular surgeon for carotid artery surgery.

This man saved my life. Everyone had told me that I had bad wrists and that I needed physical therapy. I went to see Dr. Reese and after 30 minutes he made certain that I had the MRI's that I needed the next day. Then he made certain that in 2 more days I got in to see a back surgeon. In a week, I had a dangerous but successful neck operation. That surgeon told me that had I sneezed or tripped or a pull the wrong way from a physical therapist I would have been a quadriplegic. So thank you.

I started seeing Dr Reese many years ago after my first stroke and have always found him to be straight forward and to the point, incredibly thorough and precise. He alway takes the time to explain exactly what is going on and so I am comfortable asking him anything.
