Dr. Gary Nishioka, MD

I have no idea how good of Dr. Nishioka , but if you want a Dr. who listens to you and takes your input into account he is not it. I came to Dr. Nishioka with hearing loss that occurred after a back surgery (apparently this is rare but not completely uncommon and related to anesthesiology). I did not find him all that personable. He wanted me to do an MRI to check around which I was all for but I have a strong preference to avoid dye (which he scheduled). When I requested to do either a standard MRI or "3T" (which is actually extremely detailed without the dyes) he would not budge! Nor would he even talk to me about it. He seemed to not care. I had to schedule with another specialist.

First off, I cannot speak to Dr. Nishioka’s ability as a provider for I did not and do not wish to continue treatment following my consultation. Due to the risk of the surgery I need, I reached out to Willamette ENT, specifically Dr. Nishioka for a professional second opinion. Seconds after meeting Dr. Nishioka he began unprofessionally bad mouthing my current Provider whom come to find out is an old colleague. I was absolutely appalled by the behavior he exhibited. Regardless of the animosity he has with a former colleague it was unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. I would like to recommend Modern Nose Clinic, this office has shown nothing but excellence from the friendly staff to the advanced and cost effective care.

I had two rhinoplasty procedures done with Dr.Nishioka. I initially came in with an request to have my crooked nose corrected, which was resulted from childhood injury. He assured me after 1 surgery I'd get the results that I wanted. After 2 surgeries and 7k my nose is still crooked. He wanted another 6k for a 3rd surgery to get the results I wanted. I left and never came back. Would not recommend him to anyone for rhinoplasty procedures.
