Doesn’t listen to his patients
I came in to get a steroid for a rash that I get intermittently & instead of focusing on my chief complaint be focused on the comedic spots & told me not to worry, it’s NOT LEPRACY and laughed…who jokes about rashes & cancerous spots with a NEW PATIENT? Not a professional, that’s who! They also called me a cosmetic ointment & would assist or even respond to my pharmacies numerous request then ignored my call to the nurse about it. I will be contacting my insurance company and asking for them to reverse this Drs claim since he’s only into taking peoples money& not actually treating/serving/helping them!

Dr. McEwen knew what my sores were. I had gone to 3 other dermatologist and they had no clue. I also ask him about my sore on my lip. He did a biopsy and came back cancer, I had sugery 12/7/2022. To me he's the best. And his staff is very nice.

NP with no bedside manner, not concern for my time
I was very disappointed. I was told to be there early to fill out paperwork that I'd already done on-line. I arrived 20 minutes before my appointment and was not seen until 20 minutes AFTER my appointment time. The NP had zero bedside manner. She seemed to be getting paid by the number of places she could hit with the liquid nitrogen. She did more in one visit than my previous dermatologist did in more than 5 years. Dr. McEwen may be great (for all I know) but given the treatment I received I'm going to keep looking. The only reason I left my previous dermatologist was because she's out of network with my new insurance. I STILL recommend her and her practice.

Poor Care
I went for my first visit yesterday. I waited since May to be seen. A NP came in the room and left in 3 minutes. Very poor care and no compassion! I am a Registered Nurse that is why I am writing this review.

Dr. McEwen is a blessing. He works hard to help his patients with compassion. His employees at the front desk are so kind, and always helpful. The nurses are compassionate, and treat patients with kindness. All of the employees have beautiful souls. I'm grateful for each and everyone of them.

I saw dr mcewen several years ago as he removed a basil cell lesion from my leg. I have a possible melanoma under my toenail and called to get an appointment. As I had not seen him in over 3 years I was told he is not taking new patients. I could get in to see someone else in four months. I am disappointed and will choose another dermatologist. Will not recommend this office.

Everyone is so friendly starting from the front desk to the nurses. I needed some paperwork for insurance purposes and the front desk was on it and was so nice about it. I only had to wait 15 minutes or so for my appointment. The care I get is wonderful.

Dr. Mcewen is amazing. I have had acne since middle school, and he is determined to get my face healed. He spends time getting to know you, and remembers conversations from previous visits. He knows I am self insured and gathers as many free samples as possible for me to use to save me money. The staff who are employed are kind, from the ladies at the front desk, to the RN's, to the one who makes my next appointment. The atmosphere at this office is calm, professional, and refreshing compared to previous doctor offices I have been to. Thank you for your care!!!

I have gone to Dr McEwen a few times and found him outstanding. He was very caring, thorough in his exam and explanation of my problem. He is someone I felt comfortable with the moment I met him when he was in his first office. He makes his staff also feel valued and that left a lasting impression on me. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for an extraordinary dermatologist and all around nice doctor.

Dr. McEwen diagnosed a melanoma in its early stages and took care of its removal. I've also had other moles removed, but this was the most serious. He handled the situations skillfully and made me feel comfortable. Everyone there has been helpful as I continue check-ups to prevent other issues. I'm thankful for a pleasant, dependable office of kind and capable workers as well as confidence that I'll be healthy going forward.
