Great Doctor
He was friendly and took the time to discuss my condition with me. I am very satisfied with him as my doctor. He did not try to rush me through my visit.

Medication Driven
First time I saw Dr. Margolies in fall of ‘24 he was very helpful & attentive. When I saw him last in Spring of ‘25, he was very dismissive & unwavering from pain meds. After I told him no due to the lack of results over months of trial, he physically stood up to leave. After I asked for a referral to another Dr in the field, he essentially refused. He told me due to a fibromyalgia diagnosis, that he gave me, “out of the two dozen other Dr’s in the area, none of them would touch you with a 10ft pole due to your diagnosis & then there are insurance issues” etc. With me saying I still had additional things that we did not cover, he was walking out of the room & I had to finish discussing my PSI in the hallway. Throughout the appt. it was obvious he had not reviewed my information they asked me to complete upon arrival because when I said I felt as though I struggled with something he said “no you would be dealing with XYZ” & look at my chart to see I was dealing with said symptoms.

Knowledgeable and efficient
Dr. Margolies was able to quickly diagnose my condition because he listened effectively and took the time to review all of my symptoms and previous issues. He has a friendly demeanor and worked with me to establish a treatment plan that suited my needs. His staff is welcoming and professional.

Finally validated
I live in a reasonably sized city with some decent technology, but I have to travel 120 miles one way to see specialist who might actually listen and run some tests on you. They just want to diagnose you before even walking in the room. Yes, it was a couple months wait to be seen primarily, but it’s 6 months at least where I live. There is practically no wait when I go in for my appointments. I have seen him twice now and he is thorough, pleasant, listens, and he spends all the time I need without feeling rushed in the least. He took me serious and has helped me finally figure out what has been debilitating me and treat me accordingly. I’m very glad I didn’t see these reviews until I was in the waiting room for my first appointment. I haven’t experienced anything from them.

He is Rude
On my last visit he attended me rudely and when I asked him if there was any other solution since his comments were all negative, he got angry alluding to the fact that I was telling him that I did not believe in his knowledge, in a rude and derogatory way he looked at me and yelled at me telling me that my illness had no cure and that if I did not believe him I would not go to see him. I don't speak English so an interpreter by phone was the one who translated and witnesses what happened. I hope I NEVER have to see this man again and I hope the clinic will take action because if he doesn't have the patience to serve people like me, he is in the wrong place. I’m totally disappointed with him and the clinic

Caring doctor and staff
Telehealth
I've been a patient for years and he has always taken the time to go over each and every issue and concern. He also keeps every other medical provider updated on the care he provides for me. The staff is amazing whether it is on appointments, refills, prior authorizations, follow ups or just about anything they can help with they do. I'd definitely recommend to anyone who needs a rheumatologist this man. He is amazing.

The 1st Doctor who made me feel heard.
I love doctor Margololies. I cried after my first appointment with him because he was the first doctor to not blame me for my health problems. He told me my pain was not my fault. For so long I'd been treated like it was all my fault. That if only I'd loose more weight or do more exercise or go to more physical therapy... I always felt like they didn't believe me when I honestly said I tried. But Dr. Margololies listened. He made me feel heard, and made it feel like someone cared. I will always be thankful for him.

Knowledge and professional
I have been seeing Dr. Margolies for a few years now. He is professional and knowledgeable. His entire staff, the nurses and the people at the front desk are always so polite and friendly. He takes time to listen to my questions and explain things to me. As long as I live in Nashville, I want him to continue to be my rheumatologist.

The whole appointment was rushed. He didn’t listen to what I was saying because he was too busy talking over me, even when trying to answer questions he asked, and was also too worried about the wrong things. He asked if I was sick because I wore a face covering. I told him I’ve continued to wear it in certain settings since Covid, plus it was cold outside. He responded by saying “but it’s not cold in here”. I firmly said “I may be” and he backed off. He’s a bit too peculiar for me. I will never go back.

Worst appointment
Waste of my time. He seemed to think he knew better than the other doctors I’ve seen including a different specialist. He barely made eye contact. He made me feel like I shouldn’t have been there. He ordered labs and an X-ray I did not get because apparently his staff and the imaging people can’t figure out how to communicate.

He talks over you, won't explain anything, and says "I don't know" to every question you have. Is more concerned with ranting about medicine commercials for 30 minutes than actually being a doctor. Rude, won't even make eye contact, looks at you for two seconds then doesn't care anymore. One of the most incompetent doctors I've ever seen.

It almost seems like he thinks he's smarter than other Drs I'm seeing. The problem with that is, they actually listen to what I'm saying and they do tests and know what's going on. He doesn't. I tried to tell him all the things going on with me, but he talks over me and doesn't seem to care how this is all affecting my life. He has offered no information on symptoms, what to expect... Nothing. Meanwhile, I'm over here not being able to stay awake, losing my hair, numbness and tingling everywhere, brain fog, pain, etc and wondering how I'm going to keep my job, but that's no problem of his I guess. I'm looking for another rheumatologist.

I love this doctor
Dr. Margolies is always pretty punctual when I see him. He would be worth the wait though. His staff is great, always patient and kind. Dr. Margolies always gets to the point about my health issues, but I like that. He gives me the time I need and answers every question. He goes over and beyond in answering and addressing my concerns. He even addresses my husband's concerns and questions. He has helped me so much already. I just had to be patient and allow him to consider my needs and concerns, do blood workup, xrays. It was sometimes hard because I didn't feel well, but the end result was great. He found the right medication for me and I am up and about, enjoying life again. I am very grateful for him. I have seen other doctors in the past with disappointing results. I am definitely not disappointed with Dr Margolies.
