Dr. Gary Hathaway, MD

Dr. Hathaway is a caring physician. He takes the time to explain what is going on. He listens to my questions and concerns. He’s an excellent surgeon. I highly recommend Dr. Hathaway!!! You can trust him to take very good care of you!

DR Hathaway took the time to explain what was going on, why he felt that surgery would be best and what the recovery would be. I have ZERO complications, and a tiny scars. I had problems with the pain pill afterwards and he immediately called me back and we discussed the best options for me. He called in the script change and I had the new meds that same day. He goes above and beyond to make sure his patients get the best care possible!

Let me first say though Doctor Greg Hathaway was absolutely amazing, they just needs to clear house on this upfront staff. The doctor was super kind, understanding, and listened to me. However his office staff was terrible- I would never ever go to this office again, I heard his staff make fun of patients, and their conditions. Super not cool.

I will always say that his beside manners have always been excellent! He has been my surgeon for over 15 years and I love him to pieces.

My surgery with Dr. Hathaway in 2014 was a horrible experience.

In hindsight, not impressed with Dr. Hathaway decision/choices about my condition.. and even less desirable was the pre-op and post-surgical care I received from Wellstar. Obviously, nice facilities and people, but no more surgery there for me. A bit less detailed in his approach that I would now (and ever warrant.) In my opinion, they dropped the ball with one of the basics. Now, twice the cost (to me) to get it fixed elsewhere (where the approach is more methodical, specific, and careful.)

Dr Hathaway and his staff are just rock solid! Dr Hathaway has treated my wife with kindness and respect all the way through her initial visit surgery and followups! His staff is the politest and loving staff we have ever been to. My wife has seen her share of Dr's in a different state. All were great, but moving to GA and finding Dr Hathaway was just amazing. It sure makes you feel good as a family that there are people who really care.

Minor surgery, now have a gaping wound that continues to leak and will need a wound specialist. Cavalier attitude. For next month or more, life has changed and just praying no infection occurs due to poor stitching.

Dr. Hathaway did an open umbilical repair surgery on me 12/20/16. In both pre op appointments his bedside manner was amazing, he thoroughly explained my options, didn't pressure me into anything and was very knowledgeable. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a surgeon. He is awesome!

Dr Hathaway really cares about his patients. Has a terrific bed side maner. I would recommend him to anyone.....
