Dr. Gruen performed surgery and repaired my shattered ankle 6 years ago. He is a brilliant surgeon and has a great bedside manner. He built a scaffold for my ankle to heal and I went from 60% or less chance of full use in recovery to 90-100% use of my ankle. I spent 2 1/2 months in Charles Morris recovery and PT for 3 months after I got home. Dr. Gruen supervised it all and was a great doctor. I highly recommend him. A truly modest man and a great doctor.

I have been a practicing nurse for 40 years, the last 16 years in ICU working with trauma patients, I suffered a fall in July 2016 . I sustained a fractured tibial plateau with fractured tibia. I required a posterior open reduction, bone graft and 6 months of PT for nerve damage to my peroneal nerve resulting in drop foot. I have a long history of working with surgeons of all specialties. Dr Gruen is one amazing surgeon and I would trust my loved ones to his care. I'm walking with no drop foot.
