Missed Melanoma diagnosis. Drastic results for me.
I pointed out area on my nose I was concerned about on 3 visits to Dr Gross. I have a history of melanoma. He was dismissive twice & once offered to freeze it which he did. On my next visit I saw Dr Godwin who noticed the area without me pointing it out, did biopsy, was melanoma. I have had 2 hospital surgeries; margins still not clear and pathology report seems to show entire nose is melanoma. The cancer spread for 2 years with me pointing it out to Dr Gross.

Dr. Gross diagnosed as psoriasis on my leg what was actually squamous cell carcinoma. His appointments are rushed: his whole body "scans" last less than 2 minutes.

I was referred to Dr. Gross by another Dr.,I have psoriasis ,I have had skin cancer. I know have a very itchy head, face, arms and shoulders.I wake at night digging my face or head arms have lumps under the skin and turn into sores. The first time I saw Dr.Gross for this problem,by just looking he told me it looks like bug bites, second time I saw him for the same problem, from across the room, not looking closely, told me it was probably my cat. If it were bugs or my cat I would think it would be all of my body? He gave me some cort- isone and said if it doesn't get better, call for another appointment. I don't think that I will call for another appointment, may try to find another dermatologist, I also need yearly skin checks and a yearly T.B. test This is the second one I have filled out,the first one didn't go to you,but it disappeared from my computer. Sincerely, Sandra M. Walsh
