Dr. Gary Dale, MD

I had the opportunity to be treated by Dr. Gary Dale during my recent hospital stay, and while he has a pleasant bedside manner, my overall experience was disappointing. As a quadriplegic, I face unique challenges, especially with severe spasms at night. My neurologist has twice recommended additional medication to help manage these spasms, but Dr. Dale has not followed through on those instructions. Instead of addressing my needs, he seemed more focused on his own approach, which unfortunately exacerbated my condition. Sitting up in bed to relieve the spasms only worsened my existing pressure sore, which was the reason for my admission in the first place. This situation raises my blood pressure to dangerous levels, putting me at risk of autonomic dysreflexia, a serious condition for quadriplegics. It’s incredibly frustrating to feel ignored when you’re relying on a doctor to provide the necessary care. While Dr. Dale may have a friendly demeanor, it’s essential for a physician to listen to and act upon the recommendations from specialists. I found this lack of responsiveness to be unacceptable, and I would not recommend him for anyone requiring specialized care. Your health and comfort should come first, and sadly, that was not my experience with Dr. Dale.
