Dr. Gary Chen, MD

Excellent doctor with knowledge that extends past any one specialty. He dies so much more than just dole out meds; he analyzes the situstion from all potential sides, is able to see ramifications of different choices for a situation, and works with a patient until the best choices the treatment are found. He's a highly skilled diagnostician and has the great ability to figure out the potential best treatment. He is very patient, caring, and kind- he listens and does not make you feel like he's waiting to run out of the door. He stays with you and talks to you, not at you, with respect and concern. His staff is also warm, caring,patient, upbeat and extremely bright. They too are a great source of ideas and information. Dr Chen brainstormed, tested appropriately and analyzed our complicated situation and found a better, healthful solution. He is personable, always available and we value him tremendously. We are so very, very grateful to have found him!

10 years ago I had severe cardiovascular problems and I saw a few famous Chinese cardiologists in NYC, but they couldn’t solve my problems. After I saw Dr. Chen, he is able to solve my problem. Even though the medications he prescribed are cheap, they have been working the best for me. For 10 years I have been in my best optimal condition under Dr. Chen’s regimen. The same severe problems have never come back again.

My parents greatly appreciate Dr. Chen’s excellent care to help them stay healthy. Dr. Chen has a genuine kind heart and wants his patients well. He is able to solve very severe medical problems that other specialists could not fix. My neighbor had difficulty breathing due to huge water in the lungs. He stayed in a big hospital in Manhattan for weeks, still had lots of water in the lungs. When he heard Dr. Chen able to fix water in the lung, he discharged himself and went to see Dr. Chen, His water in the lungs was completely gone in 2 weeks.

Rude and Disrespectful, one of the worst doctors. Don't believe he should even be called a doctor.

Is it just me who dont think he really cares for the patient? Took my mom to see him and he barely acknowleges her. No body contact such as listening to her heart or blood pressure taken by him. Hadhis assistant by the desk in room and he stood by doorway conducting all questions to me and not once looking at my mom. Runs to another room during consultation and door was not closed anyway and comes back and continue like nothing was wrong. Not really answering my questions. Find a more caring one

Dr. Chen saved my wife's life! And because of his medical care, counsel and prescriptions he is keeping the both of us alive and well. Can there be any greater review? My wife was very sick for months, vomiting, cramps, very strong abdominal pain. No doctor and no testing found out! Dr. was working in the emergency room, did a hand scan and ran us personally to the tech to stop her from leaving to do an emergency larger scan that proved his diagnosis! God bless you Dr. Chen for loving us!!!

Dr. Gary Chen has never let me down in the 5 years that I have been seeing him, especially for emergencies. I have had 5-6 surgeries in the time that I was his patient. When I tried to get in touch with my surgeon, it took me 3 days to get an answer. I'm so glad that I can rely on Dr. Chen to respond in a timely matter whenever I need him and am taken care of within the hour. I highly recommend him as a trusted doctor. Not only is he my doctor, he is also my friend.
