Dr. Gary Brandt, MD

I thought Dr Brandt was the best... until today. I waited over a year to get an appointment for a physical with him (I usually get another dr or m.a. because he is just too busy). I fasted all day in anticipation of bloodwork. I waited an hour past my appointed arrival time and he never showed up. Noone took a moment to pop in and check on me. 65 minutes in an examination room and I finally gave up. I walked into the hallway to fine the nurses giggling as they informed me that I was walking the wrong way... The building was locked up and I had to leave the long way. Unbelievable lack of compassion and respect. I used to think he was the best doc around. Dr Brandt apparently thinks he is a rockstar and is now above caring about his patients. It is clearly time for him to retire and shrink his head back to size. Yep, I am livid.

Dr. Brandt never took my care or me seriously - probably because I’m a female with undiagnosed health issues. I now receive much better and more respectful care elsewhere, including diagnoses of some of my issues. I was surprised that my new PCP’s office called to encourage me to schedule an annual physical (no mention of physicals with Brandt over years), and that my new PCP’s office called me to follow up on a recent hospital stay that they were informed of to see how I was doing (not with Brandt’s office). Imagine that, a PCP looking out for my health.

Dr. Brandt is an amazing doctor. He truly cares about his patients. I have been going to him for the last 35+ years and love him like family. Please do not ever retire, my family will be so sad. Thank you for all that you do, and the sacrifices you have made throughout your career to be there when "we" needed you.

Dr Brandt has been my primary care physician for several years and has always been forthright, skilled, accurate and informed, but above all he is a sympathetic and caring doctor. I'd rather not praise him too much - I don't want his time taken up by other patients! Call me fully grateful for beign assigned such a physician.

Dr. Brandt is my Primary Care Physician, and I couldn't have asked for a better person to assist my husband and myself in the process of understanding medical and physical conditions we have encountered since our first meeting a few years ago. He has been an excellent resource when health issues have surfaced, and has always thoroughly explained our conditions and the various treatment options we should consider for our wellness. He has great bedside manner, displaying empathy and vast knowledge, based on his 30+ years of experience. He has taken our personal feelings on treatment into consideration in our conversations, and has given us great advice for ways to deal with medical issues while maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I am very thankful for his knowledge, expertise, and down to earth way of communication with us.

I am firing him as my PCP. a doctor needs to partner with their patient and keep them in the loop and not act like they are you boss and treat you like a number. this happened to me this week and it was the final straw. His office - took two trips and two lab draws to diagnose a yeast infection and it was by luck we found it. so Gary, YOU"RE FIRED!!!!

Dr. Brand is a kind and very thourow Dr. He is the best Dr. I have had in my 65 years. Excellent doctor!

I've been under Dr. Brandt's care for almost 20 years. He has seen me through several serious and chronic illnesses including Lung Cancer. Besides being an excellent Dr. he also has patience, understanding and compassion for his patients and also a good sense of humor. I do believe he treats his patients the way he would want to be treated. You can't ask for more than that.

Dr. Brandt truly cares about his patients. He is thorough, careful, and a nice guy. He even makes personal phone calls when he needs to share information or thinks you are worried about results. More than once, he has made time to see me within a few hours over a medical concern.
