Wouldn’t do my mastectomy
Wouldn’t do my mastectomy when the genetics counselor recommended it. I have family and personal history of breast cancer as well as genetic mutations. Dr. England wouldn’t see me for weeks when we did find a large tumor. So I went to someone else’s I’m now stage 4. Thanks for absolutely nothing, Dr. England. I hope no one ever treats you or your family the way you’ve treated mine. You effectively shortened my life.

Dr. England specializes in breast oncology. She is rarely rushed. Her staff, especially Ginger is very knowledgeable and available. It is a soothing environment.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR
Dr. Gale England did not take me seriously. I was treated like a number. I have had a lump in my left armpit for three years. I was referred to her to have it checked out. I was told by her that is was just extra fatty breast tissue and that my option would be to have liposuction. I was completely distraught and taken back by her lack of empathy and compassion. Especially since there is is history of breast cancer and lymphoma in my family. I called another one of my doctors who then had told me there is a possible cyst of mass with exact measurements. Her nurse then called back with referral to a general surgeon. I saw them today. The new doctor clearly showed me the mass on from a previous X-ray and proceeded to apologize for Dr. Englands visit/experience. My new doctor is wonderful and is taking it out for me. I would not recommend Dr. England whatsoever especially for something as serious as breast cancer.

Misdiagnosis
I was diagnosed with stage one breast cancer in 2018. Dr. England postpones my mastectomy surgery for over a month due to a personal vacation. When I finally got my surgery it was found that the cancer was in 14 of my lymph nodes. I underwent aggressive, chemo and radiation and was deemed cancer free in 2019. On an unrelated scan in 2020 it was found that my cancer has metastasized to my liver, my lungs, and my spine. I’ve since changed treatment teams to a wonderful group of doctors out of Loyola. I wouldn’t recommend Dr. Anglins to anyone. Her laid-back attitude towards my cancer may have cost me everything
