Poor Communication and No Empathy
Got to see him for 10 minutes. Did a breathing test with a nice technician. Dr. Fred was polite but very quiet and I received very little explanation of my breathing test results. No information in specific, just that it was okay, but it could be asthma. Then he prescribed an COPD drug that was not approved by my insurance and offered also offered to do an allergy test if I wanted to do so later on. Got the Generic drug and it has been giving me headaches and no results. Called his office to schedule the allergy test and it took over a week to get someone back to me. Today, I was told by his staff that I can't do the test until October when I follow up with him as he stated so. I am in so much pain, with headaches, and Dr. Fred and his team have had very poor patient relationship and no empathy. I am not coming back, and I would not recommend him.

Have been a patient for over a year after seeing this doctor while in hospital so I followed up by changing from previous pulmonary doctor. This doctor is compassionate and takes time to review reports before prescribing a treatment. I would recommend this doctor anytime.

Great experience! Dr. Umeh was through and compassionate. The office staff at Celebration and Poinciana were all processional and helpful. As an RN for over 30 years, I tend to be picky about my health care. Dr. Umeh is one of the finest pulmonologists I have met.

Horrible doctor. Would not listen to me and would just rant about the state of health care. Kept trying to put me back onto medications I was allergic to. Was told if I did not agree with his treatment to find another pulmonologist because I refused to go back on the medication I had terrible reactions to. I did find another pulmonologist who is amazing and takes time to listen to me and my concerns. Stay away Uhem unless you do not want help and just like wasting money.

Saw him at Celebration Hospital and decided to choose him as my pulmonologist. Ease of making an appointment with no hassles. Receptionist friendly and helpful. Last pulmonologist the receptionist not helpful. Puts you on hold and hold forever. Nasty and noisy. Would never send my records. Very difficult there. Nice experience at this office. Plus can see him at the Celebration Hospital.

I suffer from anxiety due to ptsd. Within seconds of first meeting he walked in with assumptions of my life, my occupation, lack of compassion, and an accusatory attitude. I was so shocked over his demeanor I just wanted to leave. I should have said something then. He over prescribed medication I didn't need.
