Dr Hardwicke was my oncologist for 2 different types of cancer. He is a wonderful dr and will be missed at UMC SWCC.

We absolutely LOVE Dr. H!!! He adores my mom and has really thought through all her treatments so far! He answers all questions and spends time with my mom on every single visit! He also includes family in my moms care. He’s a God send!

He would not look my husband or I in the eye, made fun of my profession, and didn’t seem to know my husband’s case at all. Would not recommend. When my husband had to get lab work done, he “forgot” to put in the correct order for the lab. At the next appointment he didn’t even admit his mistake just told him to go do the bloodwork again (cost us an extra $300). I don’t care how good a doctor he is, if you can’t admit when you’ve made a mistake, he’s not worth going to.

Takes a long time to get to the point, won't look you in the eye when trying to speak then pokes fun of your weight. Horrible bedside manner. Switching doctors asap

He worked so hard to help give my father 9 years of quality life after diagnosed with colon cancer with mets. I am a nurse and would seek treatment from him myself if needed. There is none better as far as I'm concerned in Lubbock Tx. Excellent care. Yes the wait times are long, but I must say he never rushed through the time he spent with us and wait times are not always a controlled by the physician. He carefully thought out each treatment plan to give my father the best care possible.
