Dr. Freaha Riaz, MD

I have gone to Dr. Riaz for 3 years, and when health was fine, she was fairly competent.However, since I have encountered health issues, she seems to avoid them, and pretends they don't exist; she routinely disregards what you have to say, offers little to no advice on concerns you present, and instead focuses on getting you in and out, amplifying the frustration of the experience. It seems she is all about generating revenue for the Fairview system as a whole, and does not view you as a person, but rather a money bag to be plundered.I will be finding a new doctor, one who operates with basic human compassion, and not one who simply pretends complex issues don't exist and focuses on getting through her workday.

I have gone to Dr Riaz three times in the last three years and have never felt so humiliated with each visit. She’s condescending and walk away feeling belittled. I didn’t have a choice to see a different doctor and had hoped for a better experience. I will definitely find someone else to go to even if it means changing clinics. I never send in reviews but thought it was important to express and share my unfortunate and continued disappointment with Dr. Riaz.

She has been my mom’s primary for 4 plus years. She is kind, patient & detailed. A great Doctor.

I have been going to Dr. Riaz for about 3 years since Kay Baum left. I will always miss Kay but Dr. Riaz has filled her shoes very well. She listens to my concerns and addresses them. She has been my confidant and advisor with my health. I had a heart attach last year and she was totally on top of her game with my treatment. I would recommend her to anyone that would like to be treated with concern and respect. Best Regards, Kay

I saw Dr. Riaz for an IUD consult. I felt that my decision to choose the IUD as my method of birth control was not supported. I felt as if she was trying to convince me to use another form of birth control & the manner in which she tried to dissuade me from my choice was extremely condescending. She actually said to me, "So you're okay with having this device implanted in your uterus, but you're not okay with having Implanon implanted in your arm? That's interesting…" I left feeling humiliated.

I have been seeing Dr. Riaz for 3+ years. I find her to be intelligent, caring and thorough. I would recommend her, and in fact have recommended her, to others.

Excellent care. Very concerned about her patients. Well informed. Would highly recommend.

I had just had a stroke and was interested in talking about that of course--she ignored the questions I asked and just proceeded to try to set up many other procedures that had nothing to do with the stroke, I changed clinics that day. I felt invisible
