Dr. Puentes is so gentle and cautious in the changes he makes in my doses. In the past, I had doctors that would strickly look at test results or sometimes go by how I felt and make changes accordingly. This often would cause my levels to go too high or too low. Neither of these extremes were good for me or my health. Dr. Puentes is the only doctor that I have been to that truly cares about his patients and trying to avoid this dosage adjustment yoyo. Excellent Endocrinologist! The staff is very professional.

Rude front desk staff that provided incorrect information when I scheduled an initial appointment leading to Dr Puentes being highly agitated and argumentative at that visit. Failed to notify Medicare that I paid my deductible on my first visit, resulting in several bills from other physicians being mailed to me. It took multiple phone calls with Medicare, Humana, and the other providers to get to the bottom of this. Low and below they have owed me a refund for 4 months that will allegedly be mailed next week. I truly believe that if I had not questioned this, I would never have seen the refund. Why would I ever want to pay cash for a procedure when I have insurance?!?! This was offered as Dr Fuentes felt he was move qualified to perform the procedure. He definitely has a 'god' complex.

No explanations were provided. No questions were answered. Very irritable. Would not receive or send information to primary care doctor. There is a patient portal but it seems messages are not read. Answering machine messages were also ignored.

Dr. Puentes is absolutely awesome! He has been my doctor since I had Thyroid Papillary Cancer and has made the process as smooth as it could be. He has always been quick to return my calls when I have a question over my medication and always open to questions. He is very professional and knows what he is talking about. I would absolutely reccommend him to others.
